Not as I expected! I thought after the second tablet I'd be off my tits, but I wasn't. I am both disappointed and relieved! I do feel a bit like I've done speed, and used that to my advantage to clean the kitchen.

I am now on the gin as well, not in a pint glass though!

How's the birthday celebrations going?

Hello lucy.

I've actually gone through an unexpected and slightly traumatizing incident this evening. I had to go and get a shed load of speed off my dealer. I thought it was just going to be the usual, walk in, pay money, walk out with goodies process. It wasn't this evening. This evening I had to listen to her talk (rapidly) for an hour and a quarter about stuff which was mind numbing in it's banality. She was like an unfunny version of Ronnie Corbett when he used to sit in his big chair with his golf trousers on. She was going off on so many tangents it was mind boggling. Normally I'm right up for mind boggling but all I wanted to do was get the drugs back to ours so that the party could continue with gusto.

Anyway, it's taken me until now, two hours later, to actually feel OK again, and up for a session tonight. I have now de-stressed to an appropriate level.

In 1994 I didn't know music! To keep a story short we shall call me Cinderella. My nana gave me a radio to hide under my bed and I used to listen to 'Alan Robson's night owls' on Metro fm with my headphones in (all a big secret) One night I fell asleep and rolled over, unplugging said headphones. My dads bitch as she was affectionately known came into my room and battered me. Also broke the radio. Horrible cow.

So anyway, the first music I knew of was when I joined the navy and listened to cds of oasis and alannis morissette back to back.

Bloody hell! I've just read this properly, sorry! What an utter shitbag. For one, the violence, but also, for not letting you have music! Music is the best thing in the world. So is gin, but you know. I'm really sorry that happened to you lovely xxx hooray for nana though!

Ah alanis morissette. I probably still know all the words to that album! Haven't heard it for years, might have to find it and see if it is still good. I've got a t-shirt somewhere that says "I'm brave but I'm chicken shit" too, probably wouldn't fit now though! Haha!

Anyone else considering Beautiful Days festival this year? Having seen the lineup, and knowing it's only about an hour away, I'm thinking of volunteering as a steward. Not been before, but that'd be a cheapish way of finding out if it'd be good for the glasto fallow year. Can't really beat a bit of Levellers to round of a weekend, either! :)

If it wasn't the week after Boomtown, I would go! I know a lot of people that go every year, I've not heard a bad thing about it. I see the Sisters of Mercy are playing, I'd love to see them! You're right about the Levellers, fabulous live :)

I reckon Boomtown will be my fallow year festival. You should consider that! I'll report back after this years investigation.

By the way, you missed an "f" from your "off". I'll let it go this time but don't let Benny see!

Aye, was looking at the line up earlier thinking its one of my favourites this year. Can't remember when it's on but will probably have to give it a swerve with wedding to sort.

Hoping to win tickets for Bluedot. Not far and the setting is incredible. Orbital in jodrell bank. Wowsers

Its 18th-20th August. A few weeks before your big day, but I expect you'll have a few things to think about around then! A good bit further than Jodrell, too!

Oh no, you've done it again! Your first "a" should be an "an"! Shall we blame Somerset for that, as well? ;)

I've had my third Mystery Tablet. Perhaps they are enhancing the grammar nazi in me? I do apologise! Except I sort of don't. I think I should probably be quiet now. Hmmm.

Bloody hell, "cow" is an understatement - in fact it sullies the good name of cows!

Sorry to hear about that - I'm pleased to have escaped this person's clutches and found your way to efests!

Well thankyou lovely! Just true stuff I'm talking. Everything happens for a reason. Hard to see it at the time but the real stuff always shines through! Can't wait to have Duracell bunny hugs x

In keeping with the nature of this thread, I just went outside for a smoke and, well, took one for the team as it decided to piss down. It stopped as soon as I came back indoors.

Well done. I'm proud of you. I also got drenched walking to Tesco to buy more wine for this evening.

Do you think we may have done enough between us?

I think that's Tuesday evening/night covered, we just have to keep going to cover the rest of the weekend!

Well I'm currently out in the Middle East where it's supposed to average 1 weeks rainfall per year. After 4 and a half weeks out here it's put rain down almost every day! I know it's a different country and all but surely that has to count?
