mr gumby
Morning all Beautiful blue skies today, nice change from the w*t weekend we had here. Thinking I might get the tents up in the garden this week, give them a check over and an airing, so I know they're ready for summer.

carlosj
I've been avoiding the allotment, and not gone anywhere near tents. I have, however, got chocolate and coffee.

Have dug about half the plot over the course of the weekend so am aching a bit now. Also planted some more vegetable seeds in the greenhouse. Now going to attack a nice bottle of white wine that's been chilling in the fridge. Nice work. I've ordered a sackful of organic lawn feed & mosskiller as my lawn is mostly bloody moss! Just waiting for it to get a bit drier before I can aerate and seed it. On the plus side The growhouse is now up, and I've ordered a replacement cover for my tomato greenhouse. Starting to pull together the plan for the veg patch!

Had a look on fleabay and can't see it Hello Curlygirl, Somebody put a bid in for the van but hasn't responded to emails since, which isn't a good sign. As we have accepted their bid it automatically means that the campervan is taken off ebay. I'm going to give them until tonight to respond and then get in touch with ebay because otherwise it'll cost us again to re-advertise it. The persons history on ebay is good, so maybe there's hope yet. The above said, the posh bloke who called in to our shop on Friday evening, came around to our house, stayed the night, and had sex with a lad I know, has offered to buy it off us and sell it back to us when the house sale goes through. We may well run with this offer if the ebay person doesn't come back to us. How are things with you? All good I hope.

Who needs a lounge area anyway when you can sit on the bed?? All is grand mate, I'm starting to get my arse into gear a bit more after having a downer of a few months. Been to the gym twice In 2 days, visited sister, grandad and friends. And drinking out of my glastonbury enamelled mug at work keeps the spirits up. Sounds like you've been fairly active, which, in my opinion, is a good thing to do if you are in a low rut. I've actually got off my arse and done some physical stuff today. We have created an arty rear garden (lots of mannequin and mannequin parts dotted around the place as well as pieces of my art and a few curios). The idea is to have a tea / coffee area at the back. There is a walled alleyway which leads to the garden, so it is actually like a secret garden. So, we are thinking of calling it The Secret Garden Cafe, as we might sell things like cake as well. I say sell, but have my doubts about it's potential success. My wife has great hopes for it though. She has already got some people interested in wanting to hold events in there, so may be it'll take off. We have yet to put up the church pulpit that we have. When that goes in, my wife is hoping that people will story tell, read poems from it etc.

It's just as well I'm not really into sweet stuff or I'd be goosed haha I've only ever made one cake in my life, and that was a special cake that I brought to Glastonbury one year. It was mainly a chocolate cake riddled with dope and speed sprinkle on the top instead of castor sugar. Everybody who had a piece enjoyed it! I can't recall Mrs Yog making a cake but she is a fine cook, so suspect it's easily within her repertoire. By the way - I only know one definition of being goosed, and can confirm that it has nothing to do with cake.

cornish hick
well I've done a couple of bike rides this weekend as I'm being a TWaT at work. 32 miles + 20 miles involving some very muddy lanes / byways so having the mud experience now to get the dust experience in June TWaT = only working Tues, Weds and Thurs as using up my leave

Anyway, @Curlygirl lovely to briefly speak with you on FB, you over the many names! I am a Georgie sadly not a Geordie, but a Brummie...well I was born in Birmingham, grew up on the outskirts but spent lots of my adult life pretty much all over! My accent is very much dependant on how tired I am ...I've been asked if I'm Australian, Polish, Yorkshire (the OH is a Yorkshireman so it rubs off) the Brummie comes out when I'm tired.. Lucy, I'm pleased the dentist wasn't too awful & especially not too expensive - hospital was the gin? Yoghurt, your wife's shop sounds ace, your cake sounds utterly devine! 2 of the best things put together, drugs & cake, as 1, perfect!! Mr Gumby we made it to the Faery Fayre, thank you for the link...there were Faeries all around the town carrying on their daily Faery business, alas I was not taken to the Faery Ball. The weather here & on the Warwickshire/Worcestershire border (where I've been working today) has been pretty bloody lovely, sunshine blazing, looks like my sun dance atop the Tor is working, it's now a clear night with the most ridiculously large moon Hello naughtygeorgie, So, you are a fellow Brummie. Just wondering what part you were from? I started off life in South Yardley, then we moved to Selly Park, then I moved to Kings Heath, and now I'm living in Stirchley. I did live away in Colchester in Essex for a year, but didn't like it there so came home to Birmingham and have stayed ever since.
