Afternoon you motley bunch :)

Both tents have now been put up, checked over, made sure they have enough pegs, and they're aired out. All set for glasto and our other camping trip in August.

Happy birthday, yeti :)

Hope everyone's feeling the benefit of some lovely bright spring days!

Absolutely.  I'm about to knock off work a bit early to get home and do a bit of work in the garden while the sun's still shining.

Yay for Queer as folk being on All 4. Beaut!

I can't believe how much time I'm spending on this forum. I am literally on here all day it seems. I'm obsessed! My current favourite thing to do is going through the archive threads and finding ones about people talking about their first night routines, favourite camping spots, pre night routines etc. Gives me a right old buzz.

Hoping this weather lasts until the weekend. We bought a house recently and we want to start tarting up the garden, ideally with beer and spliff in hand, and sun beating down on us.

We do have a Queen. Why she would be considered the best is beyond me, but then I'm not Jenny Bond.

Chuckle chuckle.

We went to watch my granddaughter baby Ruby in her first show tother day... I couldn't believe it when it started with the national anthem lol.. I sang like a good English boy

1. I sing in 2 choirs, one is all year round and is a mix of poppy songs, show tunes, and a bit of classical, The other one is just int he winter, and is proper choral works. Love a good sing, me. Dizzymoo is also a fan of the choir! I think it's Dizzy anyway, apologies if I have remembered wrong!

2. Talking is good. We like chit chat. As long as the main focus is on praising the weather gods, we're ok :)

3. Speaking of whcih, it's bloody lovely here today! All I can see if blue out of my window!

4. I love how you mixed numbers and letters for your list points. I like you.

5. I'm really hungry but trying to hang on til lunchtime as my mini eggs habit has started to take it's toll!!! Oops!

You are indeed correct Lucy, I also love a good sing. We had an almost catastrophe-free performance at a local music festival the weekend before last, getting 'commended' from the adjudicator.  Went back to someone's  house to celebrate at 6.30pm.  At 10 pm the raspberry vodka and rhubarb gin came out.  I managed to totter home ok but one of the other altos (a slummier mummy than me) didn't make it to bed and fell asleep on her landing! A glorious night, and I can actually remember most of it.

Sorry not had time to catch up, will look tomorrow and hopefully post something relevant. Welcome to the sunshine and talkative new peeps!

xx

Thanks gumby. I'd best pack the shewee in that case.

Talking of shewees I think I need to practice a bit more. You men have years or experience in the art of peeing whilst standing up.

I on the other hand, gave it a go whilst spangled and ended up peeing down my leg and into my jeans, which were pulled down around my knees.

And yes, I had to pull those pissy jeans back on, before rushing back to my tent to change and have a mad wet wipe session.

Not my proudest moment by far.

Once when out for a lovely summer picnic with friends,  I had to go for a pee, so squatted down behind a hedge.  As I stood up I realised I hadn't got my skirt out of the way so it had a large wet patch.  I rinsed it in a nearby stream so at least it wasn't pissy, but wasn't quick enough to think of an excuse for the state of my clothing (wine may have been involved) and ended up describing what had happened to friends who couldn't quite understand how I could be so inept.  They were all blokes though, so (probably) hadn't needed to squat and wrangle a skirt out of the way while peeing.

I'm all for sharing too Skoo!

Same here! Although I've somehow managed to go for more than one day without mini eggs. Maybe that's why I feel peculiar! Yep I had one of those family size ones. That didnt last long!!

No Glastonbury performance yet, but I might suggest it!!! Are you on the south coast, by any chance? If so I can send you details of our next concert!

Yes re grime!!! So glad someone else agrees!!

I have sung with a choir on the Other Stage;  admittedly it was being the Obelisk stage at Latitude at the time.  As we queued backstage waiting to go on, and were peering round at the various bands' drumkits, keyboards etc, a particularly jumpy manager yelled at us to keep our fucking hands off the equipment (which we were nowhere near).  Clearly thought we weren't nervous enough already.

Ladies, I too have had drunken weeing in a bush but it going on your clothes incidents too! Not for a while though, I like to think I have finally perfected the art of not having it go everywhere!! Haha!

Oh and I'm seeing Ferocious Dog tomorrow. WOO!

They're in Brighton tonight, was tempted but I've got my mind set on collapsing on the sofa and probably getting an early night.  Dull I know, but been working like a dog this week and I did see them supporting the Levs, so not the end of the world if I don't.

Mood may change by the end of the day, obviously!

I did wonder if you were going to see them! Our gig is sold out so it looks to be a corker. I'm meeting a couple of friends for cider and pizza first!

Collapsing on the sofa is necessary sometimes :)

Hi everyone :)

So, now the Sheeran announcement is done, I'm really looking forward to the first poster. There have been a few acts on it the last few years that I've either known nothing, or very little about, so it'll be the start of my research for June. :)

Not long now!

Artnoon all, been laughing at the Amsterdam stories and of course Yogs shenanigans again :D you guys crack me up!!

Sunny here... for now. Mother dearest is in her way up for the weekend and has just rang me, that w*t stuff is falling from the sky in Leicester.  I hope it doesn't follow her up! @mr gumby that's a fine idea... I may talk the parentals into helping me put my new tent up tomorrow. After our lovely relaxing massage and spa morning I don't think the mother will be up for it though.

Hello everyone *waves* - not been on much recently, real life has been getting in the way - moved house and been settling in but still no internet so in an effort to keep my mobile data costs low haven't been on as much as usual. I have however been keeping up with the thread, Yog's stories always make me laugh and some great stories about Amsterdam.  I once went on a stag do to Amsterdam, me, the only girl, and 12 blokes, if I could remember any stories, I would share, but the entire weekend is a haze - probably for the best...

Hello to newbies and to old timers, will try and pop in a bit more in the coming weeks need to get my GF mojo working as it hasn't really kicked in yet (although v excited about Foo's).  Very Manchester here in Manchester today. TTFN x
