Fuck! Only just seen Future Islands on there! Amazing what your eyes can miss when presented with so many names :DMissed them last time, definitely on the list for this year :)

I know, every look is getting better!

It's particularly exciting for me.  There's very little on there that I wouldn't miss for a big clock (Levellers, Lionel, Blur, that kind of thing) but there are loads on there that I've caught bits of and would be really happy to see.

So as a year when I'm going solo (although you're never alone at Glastonbury ;) ) this is perfect for me to really stomp my way around the site and see a bit of everything without worrying about what others are doing.

Selfish me is doing a very happy little dance :yahoo:

Yeah, I know what you mean. I love having my family there too, but the one year I went solo was probably the year I saw the most, despite having to work 6 hrs a day! Just being able to choose for yourself, rather than discussing with friends or family, saves so much time!

I kind of go on my own, as I meet up with my cousins later on in the day.  I do value the ability to see what I want, and had been previously hanging around thinking I need to wait for them to get ready, so I'll just walk in earlier (CV fields) and let them catch up later when our tastes match up on bands.  A bit selfish, but it works for us, and we are still talking to each other by Sunday night.

I'm lucky that my other half has pretty similar taste to me, so we usually agree on who to watch. I think Katy Perry caused the most chat monogamist the texts I got this morning about the line-up. I thought 'I know two of her songs' that's a damn right lie, I know most of them. Damn catchy pop songs!

I was pleased before the full line up, I feel alone in saying that I like the Foo Fighters and will likely be watching them and I love Radiohead. Add in all the other bands on the line-up that I'd happily go and see - its pretty bloody good!

I also took one for the sun gods today, it's a bit r*iny in South Yorkshire, and I dropped my lunch in a puddle on route back to the office. I'm fairly confident because of this, it's going to be HOT HOT HOT the entire festival. Ice cream and cold booze will be required! Don't forget the sun cream!!

Glad to hear your friends are all monogamists!

I do like the Foos, seen them a couple of times, and I know that if I go see them I'll have a great time. But there's so much other stuff on that they're a backup option rather than a first choice for me.

They're the equivalent of a lamb dhansak.  A great dish I know I'll enjoy, but there's all this stuff on the Chef's Specials part of the menu that I've never tried and sound really interesting... :P

Any new discoveries? I've been through a few acts I don't know much about, and the one act I will be miles away from is Major Lazer. What a bag of shite! :D

Rather enjoying DJ Shadow. Heard his songs before but never knew who the artist was. Now I know, Wouldn't mind having a listen to him. Frank Carter is decent from the few songs I heard but that's because I'm more into the heavy stuff. You got any suggestions yourself?

Major Lazer - yeah, went to Pukkelpop a few years back, he was closing the night after the headliners, was absolute garbage. Walking past him to get to our favourite 1€ waffle shack was more than enough.

Going to do some proper listening, but Ride and Flaming Lips are up there . Thundercat also.

My current nightmare is Friday night choice between Radiohead, Lips and Justice.

How do we know they are all playing Friday? Except Radiohead of course.

Not certain, but Lips' gigs around that weekend are making Friday more likely than Sunday. And Neil's info on Justice is suggesting Friday or Sunday, with Friday the favourite.

Also the fact that Metronomy have announced they're headlining JP on Sunday, which is arguably where Lips were likely to be if they were on Sunday.

I quite liked their first record but their sound these days is not to my tastes. I bought a ticket to see them a few years back but walked out of the gig in disgust (probably at how old I felt) when the t shirt cannon was brought onstage

Shadow is one of my favourite artists of all time. Endtroducing is one of my favourite albums of all time. Midnight in a Perfect World is my favourite tune of all time. I haven't missed him on tour in a long time and will be there at the festival.

Buggering hell, not only have we had a poster today but (*not glasto related sorry) Game of Thrones has just dropped their new trailer and the track used is James Sit Down

I can barely contain today's excitement :)

I've not seen the trailer, but that sounds rather incongruous. Swords, dragons etc mixed with a 90's indie student anthem? Seems decidedly odd!
