Good luck. Youngest saw his lovely maths teacher yesterday for the first time in 18 months. It will be the last time too, as the teacher's moving 150 miles away in less than 3 weeks. Astoundingly he's still going to phone to go through exam papers with my son in the next 2 weeks, despite the fact that he'll be away with friends the first week, and preparing to move the week after. Desperately sad that he's leaving teaching; another casualty of the box-ticking results-driven culture prevailing in even the best schools now. Despite all that I'm still crossing fingers and everything else in the hope that youngest can get back to school for A levels. His 6th form interview tomorrow, assuming I can get him there, will be his first time back in the school since November 2015. Any positive vibes you lovely peeps can send would be very welcome! I am trying to get in the mood for June, but a bit distracted at the moment... xx Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts - Dan Gable. I admire your fight and determination for your son dizzymoo. Sending you positive vibes. Another couple were meant to have taken half of them, but they forgot to take them. And we (genuinely) forgot to remind them. Net result - I am now getting close to the being sick of chocolate stance.

Skoo
Morning all! It is beautiful weather here in brighton today, sunny with a crisp chill in the air. Been a bit out of it past couple of days, suffering badly with hay fever and every antihistamine I try makes me want to pass out, even the supposedly non drowsy ones, so I've been struggling to do much at work. Anyone else suffer and have found a magical cure they can share? x
Quark
Gorgeous day here also. WFH so trying desperately to craft a critical work document while steering away from the Glasto playlist and ignoring the cats trying to climb all over me. Not doing too bad so far! Good vibes @dizzymoo, such a shame that's another teacher been crushed by the system Happy thought people - 11 weeks today and we'll be waking up on the farm with flamingo deely boppers, multiple titfers, flavoured gins and inappropriate comments ahoy for the NFR meet

And that's not just a pet name for you Apparently if you eat a spoonful of locally produced honey each day, it helps reduce the hay fever symptoms as you are giving your body the allergen, so you can;t be allergic. Or somethign along those lines. I'm sure someone else can explain better than I can!

We need to praise the sun when it is shining, and we need to let the weather gods get rid of all their non sunniness before June, so we have wall to wall (or field to field) sunshine for the festival!! Sun dances all round!!

carlosj
I use beconase nasal spray (or the supermarket equivalent) for my hay fever, itchy eyes and sneezing variety. Praise in Leeds is of the washing-on-the-line type, and playing Childish Gambino. NFRNFC y'all.
