I forgot to say - a friend called around with about 10 big bars of Green & Blacks chocolate a few days ago. Another couple were meant to have taken half of them, but they forgot to take them. And we (genuinely) forgot to remind them. Net result - I am now getting close to the being sick of chocolate stance.

What kind of perverted world do you live in Yog, where you can be sick of chocolate?  Oh, hang on...

Thank you peeps for all those lovely positive vibes :friends:.  Just back from school,  where youngest not only managed to get to his interview for 6th form, but performed brilliantly.  He only needed a few seconds to calm himself before going into the building, and once inside he was fine.  He was the bright articulate person we know him to be.  I feel so proud I may burst...  :):yahoo:

Happy Thursday everyone! xx

Great news dizzymoo. Fair play to your son for getting over that challenge and doing it so successfully.

Thanks Yog. Have you managed to disperse your chocolate mountain yet?  Sure there's a finbarr in there somewhere.

It was hard going (as you can imagine) but I ate another whole bar to myself about an hour ago. That leaves just one and a half bars left to eat. I know that it sounds mental, but I'll be glad when they are all gone.

Even I don't believe they have to be eaten so quickly!  Though there is the rule that once opened, a bar has to be finished.

The important question is which varieties of G&B were you given Yog? I need to know!

Well I'll be ready for Glastonbury old son thanks.. I'm real happy really Tis a tad sore but nothing compared to my back.

It's been about 2 years since I've had physio and it seemed quite unpersonable today.. Mind you I suppose they are overrun with work.

Funny thing was I had appointment at 10 but some git had stolen one  hub cap and ruined the valve so we had a flat tyre so I missed that appointment and got another on the same day at 2.how good is that.. Plus I had 2 extra lots of morph lol.... But to nick one hub cap from an old 2001 Citroën lolol funny old life...

Cheers.

Hello Quark,

There were four bars of almond, four of hazelnut and currant, and two dark chocolate.

My friend's dad used to work at Cadbury's (who now own the G & B brand) and can still buy heavily discounted chocolate. When we were around 17 years old we used to go to my mates house to drink cider, smoke dope and listen to records in his bedroom. After a couple of hours of this there would always be a knock on his bedroom door. My mate would answer it and all we would see is his dads hand coming through the gap in the open door and handing my mate a big bag of chocolates for us to eat. Looking back on it now, he must have known full well that we were smoking dope and would have the munchies. I say that because the smell of the dope must have been overwhelming, plus his dad comes from Pakistan, so would probably be more than familiar with the cause of that smell.

Morning! Happy Friday!!

Dizzy that's great news about your son :)

Gumby, I love London! Although I suppose it depends what you're doing there...

Yog- what a great dad your friend had! I remember trying to cover up the smell of smoke on me when I was a teenager. There's no way any of us would have smoked indoors! Well, not pot anyway!

Guy, glad to hear you'll be ready for Glastonbury! Maybe this year we'll manage to get together for a cider!

Hope everyone has a lovely day, I shall be frantically learning words for tomorrows choir concert, I know most of it but really need to brush up on a couple of the songs!

Hello everyone page 2 bump - just back form a short hol to lovely Yorkshire which was very sunny and very lovely.  Ticket balance all paid and mojo returning.  resale date must be coming up soon - who still needs tickets on here?  Well done to your son Dizzy - a great achievement and hopefully signs of good progress for you all. x

My mates dad and mom are lovely people. There used to be a gentleman of the road (tramp) who used to appear in the area where their bungalow is (and where I used to live two roads away from) from time to time. When winter came my mates mom and dad used to leave the door of their garage slightly open. In there they had put down a mattress,  bedding, candles, food and drink. When it got really really cold the tramp would go in there at night and have a warm sleep, food etc. He knew that it had been put there for him and, presumably, was very grateful for it.

I'll never forget that action taken by my mates mom and dad. I can honestly say that it helped shape my own developing state of being.

I've still got a pile of socks and my shorts, so doubt I'll need anything else in the sweltering heat in June!

Happy Friday y'all, enjoy the night, I'm having a 'paid tickets' beer and then off to bed as we're off to France for a week. One last blip of crepes and cider before the get fit for Glastonbury restarts.

Happy Friday everyone, enjoy your various mind altering substances.  I'm on orange juice as I gave blood today, and if I finish the fizz from last night I'll bypass drunk and go straight to hangover. Boo.  Gonna go and look at the 'Festival bags' thread as eldest now has my trusty rucksack for uni.

Should be plenty of opportunity for worshiping the fiery ball this weekend.

Just gin for me tonight, it's concert day tomorrow and I've been doing last minute revision! Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

Morning all :)

I know there are a fair few Ferocious Dog fans about, so I'm afraid I have some bad news. Someone I'm fb friends with went to see them last night, and I suggested he ask them about glasto. Unfortunately, the answer was that they won't be there :(

Hope everyone has a good weekend. We're traveling back home today, and hopefully having our first barbeque of the year tomorrow :)
