Funkyfairy!
Hi all, I am thinking that the Oxfam - Stand as one Glastonbury 2016 vinyl thats being released as part of record store day next week is a thing of beauty (ok maybe not, but the vinyls are green and red ) - anyway we have just one record store taking part in record store day and they will have one copy of the aforementioned album - I am hoping that one copy on the island will be mine (time will tell) ... can everyone keep everything crossed please Its a Glastonbury week next week - Thursday coach resales (helping people), Saturday record store day, Sunday resale day and trying for friends and anyone else in nfr - blimey everything crossed for a nerve wracking week, better take it easy this weekend to prepare

I've done fragolino (strawberry vodka), and all the colour leached out of them within a few days. Looked like a load of tiny brains pickled in red liquid! Tastes nice, though On 4/12/2017 at 11:14 AM, naughtygeorgie said: @Skoo I've no experience with alcohol infusions but when you are infusing in a culinary sense then the fruits will break down, ég strawberries will loose their colour and structure but would mean that it's working and the flavour is infact infusing into the liquid... you could always taste (taste not drink haha) to see if it's working, definitely strain through a muslin/cheesecloth at the end. Thanks both of you for your reassurances, I feel better now. I'm gonna give them all a bit of a stir and a try tonight, can't wait to see how they're getting on! sheffieldlady
Happy birthday @thurlow84 and happy (almost) Easter all! I'll be going off 'grid' for a the weekend, I usually don't check the forum at weekends anyhows. I got the tent out last evening, still up in the garden. Discovered two things: 1) The tent poles are not in the best shape 2) The tent door zip is broken This means that after 5 Glastonburys, countless camping trips that it's time to retire the Vango Beta after this weekends camping. I spent last night attempting to decide on what tent to get for the festival but I feel like a tent megalomaniac and seem to only want big tents. Not ideal for the festival but handy if I ever decide to camp for a long period of time! I'm off to find the tent thread wherever that might be! Yoghurt on a Stick
I've just had a very odd thought. For some reason the notion of experiencing physical pain entered my mind. Then I questioned myself as to what was the worst (for worst, see most exquisite) pain that I have experienced in my life thus far. Well, I'll tell you what it was. It was when I was about 5 years old and on one morning I pulled on a pair of jeans shorts without putting any underwear on. Later in the day I went to the toilet, opened my flies, pissed, and then pulled the jip back up. In doing so I managed to catch my foreskin a treat. Up it went inside and outside of the jip. Now they say that soldiers after just being shot cry for their mothers. Well, let me tell you - little 5 year old boys do it too. So there I am fucking squealing like a banshee, and my mom bursts in to the bathroom. Either I told her what the problem was or she immediately saw what it was. The next thing I know is that she's got a hold of my little laddy and is somehow easing it out of the jip structure, until it is fully separated from the pain thing machine. Now, I'm no expert in these matters, but surely it's got to be right wrong if the first member of the opposite sex to gently massage your pecker is your mom while you are aged 5 (if you are a boy). Is it any wonder that I like to get my pecker out and put it up the end of a vacuum cleaner which is in the switched on position, while shouting out the Hallelujah Chorus? I mean, I ask you? Wonderfully we have absolutely no plans and no other people to deal with. Might even stretch to a cider later And just to remind ourselves why we're here... lucyginger
Hoorah for no plans! I think a cider later is a good plan. Or maybe a little gin or four. All with plenty of praising the mighty weather gods

Curlygirl
Hi Frosty, nice to have you back! Im a broken woman. I'm doing too much running around and drinking! So last nights Manchester show was just brilliant. My friend was so happy. So today so far I've got up ridiculously early, drove Sue home to gainsborough, drove myself home to Durham and met the parents for lunch. I'm now on my way to Glasgow. I really just want my own bed. @naughtygeorgie it is a small world within the Glastonbury family! Last year I randomly bumped into @H.M.V and @mr gumby on separate occasions, as well as real life friends of mine on the railway line. Who would've thought it in amongst all those people! I Hope we get him a ticket.
