Hi all. It's Thursday on Thursday. That's only 4 sleeps and I'll know if I have tickets.

Yog you truly have had a horrible time of it lately. I think what seems like a good coping mechanism is simply you throwing your hands up in the air sand saying 'bring it on!'  I don't think things can get much worse for you and the lovely Mrs Yog. I hope the shop is still up and running and you get back to normal soon.

Cheers Curlygirl.

Things actually did get worse but I didn't initially want to say on here for fear of being the person who is the harbinger of doom, and bringing everybody down etc. I had a real swearing shouting match with my stepson on Friday evening. I'm normally placid but he pushed every button that says go beserk on it. Fortunately it's all done and dusted now. I understand that he's trying to fight his mothers corner. What he hadn't realised was that his mother and I hadn't had the time to discuss our way forward. He was expecting answers and conclusions when the subjects hadn't been broached yet.

We were given a few months rent free grace on the shop but yesterday we had to pay the first lot of rent. This means that we'll be open for business for the next four weeks at least. I've had to board up the front door after it was kicked in. My wife has written on it ' Broken in to, but not broken' on it. That kind of sums things up, but it's all very precarious.

Anyway, for reasons that probably lie in the land of imbecility I'm still quite happy. My wife has woken up in a mood though, so that may change. Ho hum.

Hi there lovely folks, much happening around this neck of the woods? It's been another busy week for me so haven't managed to get on to say much other than quickly checking in once a day to catch up on the latest page.

Just have to say really sorry to read about your woes @Yoghurt on a Stick It sounds like you're both getting the shitty end of the stick at the moment. I hope things start improving for you very soon.

The big news for me is that 10 Months to the day after we got flooded out of our home we have moved back in! Now this might not sound like a big thing in the grand scheme of things but it has been a hell of a long10 months and to finally move back in to our home is just fantastic!

Just one week to go... Have the night sweats kicked in yet? mine haven't so far but that's mainly because I haven't had chance to even think about ticket day until today. I fully expect I'll get more nervous as the week goes on especially as I haven't even started preparing for it yet! My general thinking at the moment though is that after 3 years being unsuccessful this is the year my luck changes...

So to that end, is anybody on here going for coach tickets on Thursday? I'll be going for my ticket in the general sale as the coach is just too much hassle for me so if anybody is trying and would like a hand give me a shout, I'll be on hand with my finger on f5!:)

Went to see John Bramwell last night playing a solo gig in my home town, I just have to say that it was an amazing night and can thoroughly recommend going to see him if you get chance, it's a complete mystery to me why I Am Kloot aren't huge it really is.

Anyhoo, that's all from me for now, hope everyone has had a great weekend. Laters!

Shaun.

Glad you're back home @Milky Joe, 10 months must be a long time for that sort of nonsense.

And as for you Yog, have you been taking everyone's hit for bad luck?  And weather gods?  And ticket gods?!  Happier days coming I hope, and if you make it next year rest assured there'll be a fair few ciders waiting for you :)

On a more serious note, we've been all worried about tickets and not enough about weather.  Don't want a repeat of this year!

Thanks for your best wishes Shaun. That said, nothing I have gone through really compares to being flooded out of your own home and it taking 10 months to get back in to it. That's a double ended shitty stick as far as I'm concerned. I once was drafted in to help inspect and sign off the final stage of the new build of a well known hotel chain that had just built a hotel in York. Within a week or so of it being signed off it was flooded. I never got called back in because the insurers and loss adjusters would have dealt with it, but it really did hit home to me the economic scale of flooding. However, it also, along with tv coverage, made me realise more how flooding affects the private individual. I know that it's not just the wet and damp that the receeding flood leaves behind. There's all the contamination from excrement, structural problems etc to deal with. I wish you continued 'dry' happiness in your newly restored home. :)

I hope that I have Quark. I truly wish everyone on this site the tickets that they need and the weather that involves wall to wall sunshine - but not too hot that it's oppressive.

Felt the need to share something that's made me chuckle.  Since I started working from home once I week I've been flicking through my CD binders that haven't been touched since everything got ripped to iTunes, and latterly since I've been using Deezer.  So there are a few memories in there.  But the main thing that makes me smile is the....eclectic nature of my musical history.

So I've stopped on one page to find the following albums sat quite happily next to each other :)

Faith No More - Who Cares A Lot? - The Greatest Hits

Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler

Korn - Follow The Leader

Top Gun - Soundtrack

Carpenters - Gold - Greatest Hits

Bon Jovi - Crossroads - The Best Of

Moby - Play

Bad Manners - Can Can

No wonder I love wandering around every field at Glastonbury!

Brilliant selection there, Quark! I don't have a lot of cds, but the few that are currently in my car are Neil Diamond's Greatest Hits, PWEI "best of", Bastille's Bad Blood, Bon Jovi's New Jersey, a Take That cd and a couple of Morrissey album! And choir music...!

i loved PWEI back in the 90s.  i lost a tooth on the front of stage at Manchester Academy after an enthusiastic bout of crowd surfing at one of their gigs.

Thanks Yog, it's the elderly I really feel for, it's been a strain on us but at least we're healthy and able to pick ourselves up and work through it. Fortunately our insurance company has been pretty good with us since it happened and although it has been a very long road, we haven't been too despondent to be honest, we had just moved in 6 weeks prior to the floods so looking on the bright side we have had our new house renovated in a lot quicker time than we would have if I had been doing the work!:) there are always people worse off too, there are houses around here that have just been started and a friend of mine isn't going to be back in until Easter!

Had three dreams now. Each time I've woken up whilst entering reg and/or payment details. So I don't know if I got them.

No idea what they mean

i was listening to a 'dream analyst' on the radio the other day.  basically, all dreams are nonsensical bollocks, but some people like the charlatan on the radio are able to make careers out of it.

Fundamentally it's the brain filing away bits of new information and any connections that triggers isn't it?

That's what I was taught when I did A level Psychology! I find sleep and dreams fascinating. Just wish I could do more sleeping!

I've got a cold coming, I'm all achey too. Boo. bath and early night for me tonight, instead of choir!
