NFR NFC 2017 - The friendly thread for lovely people

Hoy folks, hope everyone has enjoyed a day considerably less stressful than yesterday! I've spent the day fending off questions on whether I got my ticket to glastonbury! Remind me not to tell so many people about ticket day next year... I do however, remain buoyant about mine and the other nfr'ers chances in the resale and its uplifting to read the messages of offered help come the spring. Sometimes I really do love this place!:)

I'm about to relax for the rest of the night with Derren Brown now. Until tomorrow!

Shaun.

You should be eternally drenched between now and the start of June. Maybe then you will have paid your penance and we'll get another 2010.

If that's what it takes so I can sit on the floor without faffing with bin bags, ponchos and I can sit on grass and eat.. I'll do it. I'll take one for the team..

Haven't listened yet but downloaded the new album today.

After listening to her new album I'd also be quite happy to see Solange appear on WH on a sunny afternoon

I've been to see skinny lister twice last week. Absolutely cracking band and guaranteed to get people dancing.

support act funke and two tonne baby was also pretty good!

I've seen Skinny Lister a couple of times now, really fun band and I love dancing to them.

I'd like to see The Men That Will Not Be Blamed for Nothing, saw them at Rocket Lounge a couple of years ago, it was a Thursday, I don't remember the year. And they were fab!

Not seen SL yet, but they are on my list.  Saw TMTWNBBFN at Download this year and loved them.  Aside from having some great songs (Isambard Kingdom Brunel!) they have got probably THE best stage patter / crowd chat I've seen in years :)

There's always the grope pocket!

Sounds too much like the American election campaigns.

We have a cider festival and 2 one day music festivals in Leeds over the next month, so I can practice for June and maybe catch some new bands who'll be there too.

My sacrifice for Pilton is missing out on the whole family trip for ma in law's 70th celebrations with ELO in London in June. She took it well when I said pre Tday, and to be fair, she's pushing the celebrations as her birthday really falls in March!

If you can't push birthday celebrations when you hit 70 then something has gone wrong :)

Mr. Sheffield Lady (we're not married but since we have a mortgage I figured it's pretty serious) is back from Rhode Island for a week tomorrow, sadly I'm at work tomorrow and Thursday. I do have Friday off though, we are going glamping for the night before enjoying a friends wedding party on the Saturday!

I still can't believe the madness of t-day is over and we have tickets!

Is that what they're calling it these days?

Ah, the Grope Pocket! best invention ever! Quark, I shall explain. I bought a new waterproof for Glastonbury a couple of years ago. It's just a lightweight one, but with lining so you don't get super sweaty, just a bit sweaty. Anyhoo, as well as the "normal" pockets, there's another one on the left hand side at the top just over ones left boob. I call it the Grope Pocket! it's really rather funny!!
