Is Pompeii Mr G's pet name for it, Lucy?

I honestly don't know whether to be proud or ashamed Scruff.  I think proud is winning.

Pahahahaha!!!! Almost erupted at my desk then!

IN LAUGHTER, you filthy lot.

Honestly. You're all brilliant.

So, Thursday 4pm piss up, yes? :)

Oh hell yes.  After missing out this year due to travel chaos and being obliged to meet the friends I was going with (no such obligations this year!) there is no way I'm missing it next year, especially as so many of us have tickets.  Was gutted I missed this year's so I'm hugely looking forward to it :)

Oh and this time I'm going to try not to injure myself on Day One. Or any day, for that matter.

A good objective I feel.

I'll probably already be pissed, as I have to meet the lovely people who got our tickets around midday. I shall endeavour to still be capable of speech, though :)

Do you fall over your own wheelbarrow and wear a furry coat as well Skoo? :)

I have to admit I've never done that. Falling flat on my face in front of lots of people in various drinking establishments in Brighton however, is something I have done too many times. I blame a weak ankle! Nothing to do with the drink.

Like my gammy knee.  We'll all do just fine :)

I don't understand this Finbarr thing. Would someone please be so kind as to explain it to me? Feeling very out the loop and getting serious FOMO. (see, I can say things too!)

By all means.  From the Viz character Finbarr Saunders and his Double Entendres.  Any unintentional wording that gives rise to a double entendre may be called out as a Finbarr.

Deliberately setting such traps is frowned upon - @mr gumby is a serial offender for this.

I don't know why I didn't up vote it at the time but mr gumby's 'grubby flaps' was possibly the best Finbarr'esque comment I've seen on here. How he managed to pull that out of the bag I'll never know.

I was framed, it's all a set-up!

Ah yes, hello @Skoo.  By the way, thank you for the upvote a few days ago which cancelled out the bizarre downvote  I got (and Yog too) on another thread for querying a man's assertion that a muddy Glastonbury was like childbirth in that a few months later the fuss would be forgotten and plans begin for the next one.  I don't do downvotes unless someone's being a total fuckwit so was a bit surprised.  Completely over it, as you can tell ;)

An ironic endearment or because I'm being a fuckwit?!

It's been a long day and I've still got dinner to make.  Had a wasted journey to see a client in the hospice who couldn't stay awake,  and clearly needed sleep much more than counselling.

More positively my completely undomesticated firstborn has done some washing (as in laundry) at uni, and extended his culinary repertoire to beans on toast (believe me this is progress).

That would be awesome!

would love to see Ani Di Franco, skinny lister, will varley, the roots, Michael franti, Jamie T. Be stoked if Radiohead and SR rumours are accurate.

Looking forward to to discovering new acts at smaller venues.

I'd love to see Will Varley. Saw the last 3 songs of his set at Kendal ( Lancashire Hotpots made me stay to their set, brilliant fun ) and he was brilliant!!
