I remember drinking gin mixed with orange cordial and water in my teenage years when my mates parents were out and we raided the alcohol cupboard. Needless to say this resulted in projectile vomiting a few hours later. I can't even be in the same room as the stuff now, even writing about it makes me want to vomit.

Infused vodka is the way forward.

That's me with anything Elderflower, after a New Year's Eve's questions about "So, what's this alcohol malarkey all about? What are these bottles of red wine and Elderflower wine like?"

Drink sensibly folks. *sigh*

I will be coming on my own this year as no one else wanted to come with me. (Think I'll probably know a few people there but generally wandering around alone). I don't think it's because they don't like me just I am in my 50s and my friends and husband don't get Glastonbury. Well that's their loss. Been going since 2000 as much as possible. So hope to get to know some of you on here beforehand and come to the meet . I have met some of you  (Neil and Kizzy, Scottie, HMV and a few others) but you probably don't remember me as I'm fairly quiet.

I will try and post more on here. Trouble is can't think of interesting things to post very often. Today I have day off work, it is sunny and I've been for a run. Hope you are all well and happy x

Well, he'd look pretty ridiculous out on the slopes in that get up, wouldn't he?

When you get much older, everyone younger on the slopes look ridiculous in their getup.

Hi!

My family don't really get Glastonbury except my cousins. Don't worry, I think most people are fairly quiet compared to HMV. Sorry H, couldn't resist.

Now for some reason I've never had these problems where I can't face something any more.  And I'm pretty sure that I've drunk most things until I was ill at least once!

The only one that comes close is Robinson's Orange Barley Water because that's what mum used to give us when we were ill.  But even that's fine these days.

Drink sensibly indeed Carlos - boo!!!

Most of us don't post anything interesting, so I wouldn't worry.  Just mention gin, sunshine and post picures of cats every now and again and all will be well :)

I'm going solo this year as well, looking forward to being properly selfish for 5 days!

I ended up ejecting lime green bile from my mouth and nostrils in the middle of Clitheroe after over indulging on gin+tonic the night before, about 15 years ago.  I kept trying to find a side street not packed full of respectable people, but failed utterly.

Never mind a cone, now that was shameful!

Why are all the side streets normally packed with respectable people in Clitheroe?  Is that where they go?

You have my sympathy though.  There's nothing quite like an exit all areas vomit.

I was in the main road, full of nice people going about their business and I was looking for an alleyway to go and die in for a few minutes without looking like a ruffian.  I kept turning into other nice main roads full of respectable people, all the time ejecting my gastric juices all over the street.

Not good.

I'm going to have a go at strawberry gin this weekend and start perfecting the strawberry to gin ratios. I do enjoy a gin-based project!

I am planning to bring some pre made mulled wine next year to heat up on the stove for the chilly evenings, yum!

The only drink that really repulsed me is Pernod. I'm not a fan of gin in general, but sloe gin is a wonderful invention!

When I was I'll as a youngster, my mum always put a bowl next to my bed with Dettol in it. Now just the smell of the stuff makes me want to hurl.
