Well what about - Royal Blood, Slaves, Prodigy, Unkle, DJ Shadow, Pan Pot, Maya Jane Coles, Underworld, The XX, Beyond the Wizards Sleeve, Massive Attack, Run the Jewels, Glass Animals, Justice, Simple Minds, The Avalanches, Beck, Ben Knock......

Prodigy aren't about at the moment, the xx and justice are exclusives elsewhere in Spain and massive attack played last year so they can pretty much be ruled out

Prodigy headlined in 2015 as well didn't they?

if the rumours are right then Kasabian are likely to be announced for Leeds next week, presumably with more European dates to follow their Italian ones the week after Beni.

Is 2014/2017 too early a return or could they be likely? Most other Spanish festivals have their headliners announced so if they're doing a Spanish date they don't have many other options.

Likewise, I'd say that if Elbow are going to do any Spanish festival this summer, then it likely to be Benicassim.

I pretty sure I can live without those 4 if the rest of the ones I've listed get to play.....

Agreed. Whats the news with Stone Roses, is that being considered a fake now? I can't see Kasabian AND Stone Roses playing but if there's no Roses then Kasabian could be a good shout.

Would Elbow likely be the Thursday headliner if they were there, I've no idea how big they are in Spain? Imagine Dragons and Lana Del Ray are at Lollapalooza Paris the weekend after Beni (as well as RHCP and The Weeknd) they could be options as well.

Hopefully the likes of Blossoms (just announced for Nos Alive), Liam Gallagher and Royal Blood will be there as well, I'm guessing it can't be 'too' much longer until we get a few more names?

I think we'll get something before the end of January, so the end of next week.  I always wonder whether Beni are so late in announcing because they are flapping about and struggling to book, or whether it's part of some master plan, which I don't get.  The point of the plan I mean, not the idea of a master plan.

Are we all confident that if Kasabian are announced, they would be announced as a headliner? Are they big enough to headline? Not that they're any less popular than the Weeknd.

I'm returning to Benicassim this year and the last time I was there was in 2013 when we were completely spoilt by the quality/popularity of the headliners.

They headlined in 2014 and I don't think they've gone down in popularity since then so I would think so.

I was also there in 2013 and while I don't like them, Kasabian are more popular for this kind of crowd than Beady Eye & QOTSA.

Kasabian have headlined the majority of major festivals in the world so of course they are big enough to headline FIB, especially when headliners last year included Major Lazer and Kendrick Lamar.

Is everyone certain in terms of rumours that this next headliner announcement will be either Kasabian, The Strokes or The Stone Roses? I do think that Kasabian are going to be named, especially as they've been there a couple times before.

Is there any predications of artists that are not being discussed as much? The Killers are playing a few festivals so they might be an option. Personally, I want to be surprised by a headliner... Gorillaz or Daft Punk would be an incredible booking.

Are there any acts you don't want to show? For me Blink 182 or Green Day have been mentioned and that would taint a decent line up.

It looks likely one of them three will headline, I did wonder if it would be this announcement  though... assuming those would be the main headliners that only leaves the Thursday headliner, so maybe they'll save the bigger name for later? I suppose the other, and very welcome option would be they've booked four big names :D

Killers are doing Bilbao BBK so that rules them out, same for Green Day with Mad Cool. Depending who you listen to Gorillaz are either not doing festivals this year or not touring until 2018. Not sure on daft punk to be honest, as for Blink, their in the UK at the time of Beni but are free on the Thursday/Sunday... so I guess there's an outside possibility...

Good researching there mate. Yeah it's looking more and more likely it'll be Kasabian by the fact they're holding out on releasing any tour information. They've yet to book a 'dance' act yet, and is possible it couldn't even be a headliner. Considering Major Lazer was the act last year, and Disclosure were billed next to Muse. Arguably Disclosure are bigger than Major Lazer as they headlined Leeds not long back... Not to even mention Chemical Brothers headlining.

My instinct says Chase & Status but I have no evidence. Would be nice to see Elbow there as their name is floating about. Also are Arcade Fire still in the mix for headlining?

What smaller acts do you think will be there?

Yeah if they book Kasabian then you'd think a dance act would follow, would be strange to go from majority dance headliners to none!

Arcade Fire are headlining primavera sound so presume that rules them out, maybe there have been instances where a bands headlined two Spanish festivals in a year but I'm not not sure on that.

I haven't really noticed with smaller acts, but I'm assuming a few from the festivals on around the same time (nos Alive, Lolla Paris etc.) will be there. I'd be surprised if Blossoms aren't there and if Beni isn't Liam Gallaghers Spanish date, still holding out hope for royal blood but I was expecting them to have announced some dates by now :sorry:

Is there anything to support the possibility of The Strokes playing? It would seem that it would be way out of the blue?

If they got The Strokes and Royal Blood I'd already be content with the lineup after 5 acts.

no chance of Blink 182; they won't and can't break up a UK tour to play a festival in a different country. Their production will take half a day either side to set up and deconstruct so one day gap isn't enough time.

Gorillaz aren't playing festivals, zero chance of Daft Punk, and as much as I'd love the Strokes, final headliners are likely to be Kasabian or Stone Roses and someone like Liam Gallagher for Thursday headline. If lucky, might get both K and SR which makes the lineup bigger than last year already.

Really hoping for a surprise but I've never been too surprised by FIB lineups if I'm honest

Also Green Day etc - no - they are at Mad Cool the week before.

FIB and MC shared Biffy last year but it wasn't the week before then and they're not too big in mainland Europe compared to the UK anyway.

We're more likely to be sharing some of the acts on Lollapalooza Paris... Imagine Dragons etc
