I'm pleased with Dinosaur Jr, The View & Too Many DJ's It caters excellently to the indie lover. There is however not a single major hip hop act on the linueup. That's where the frustration comes in for people (myself included). Happy with the lineup as I like a lot of different stuff but it definitely does not cater to every demographic like people are claiming imo. Plenty of different acts to choose from, lots of variety! Happy with The View and The Sherlocks..... it just feels like there is a couple of "bigger" names missing from the line up that would make it more epic. ConorC
Quick question - would it be better to buy Alicante-Beni train tickets now or just wait and buy em at the station on the Thurs morning? And does anyone have a rough idea it'd cost?

This announcement covers a few genres. There's at least 20 acts I want to see, for what, £120? ...or £86 on the early bird ticket. I'm paying nearly that to see the Stone Roses at Wembley, with 3 x support acts, one who are totally unknown!!!
gregory
Judging by the amount of (big) acts on Thursday, I guess they'll be opening the Visa stage this year (unlike last year). Could look something like; Main Stage The Weeknd Stormzy Ride The Jesus And Mary Chain Belako Visa Stage The Courteeners Kaleo Twin Peaks Sunflower Bean Dream Wife Viva Suecia South Beach Dance Stage Bonobo [live] HONNE Kolsch

In fairness though, it's traditionally more of an indie & electronic festival, than a hip-hop/rap festival. Up until this week, one of the big worldwide hip-hop acts was on the bill, so I'm sure they will be looking for a suitable replacement still for Tyler. Maybe a couple of days was a bit too short notice for them to get someone else similar in, ahead of this weeks announcement.

When I booked from Barca to Beni (on Thu) a couple of years back (in advance) there was a specific seat/carriage number on the tickets, which was a big relief, as it ended up in being a bit of a free for all. Does feel like they're stockpiling indie bands at the moment though. As long as they bring in a decent replacement for Tyler I'll be happy enough. Twice
Whilst none of the newly announced acts have exactly sizzled my sausage, that day split is fucking brilliant. There's not a bad day on there. More than 20 acts I want to see across the whole weekend, and no doubt I'll stumble across something I've never heard before and love it as is the norm at festivals. Highlights for me are: 1. Foals 2. Kasabian 3. RHCP 4. Biffy 5. Slaves 6. Honne 7. Kaleo Its gonna be awesome.

JohnMo85
Anybody else staying in Orpesa and getting the train up to Barcelona on the Monday? Having a look at the train website, the only train in the morning is at 11:07 ... which wont give me enough time to get my 3pm flight! Surely there has to be more that 1 train leaving in the morning???

Cheers, the EUfest site only says about departure from Benicassim, do you know it it stops by Orpesa to collect passengers?

Twice
Not that its particularly shocking, but Sherlocks have confirmed that they're opening the main stage on their FB page if anyone cares about that lol.
