As much as I'd like to see Daft Punk I'd kind of given up hope of seeing them live until this rumour resurfaced

Ed headlining wouldn't be the end of the world with 2 other brilliant headliners for me. Give me half a chance of actually getting near the South East corner this time

Was lucky enough to see them twice in 2007. First was at O2 wireless in Leeds and recall my mate saying "might just sit on the grass for these". To his defense the crowd was only half full and there was no buzz around it. But when that stage set up was revealed and robot rock started, I soon knew it would be a fantastic gig. Seen a lot in the years after that but still sits firmly as the best event I've seen.

Guttered it looks like they are a no go this year, really started believe they might do it.

No offence taken, it was very deliberately caveated and non-committal - tho it was written by scottie, not me.

If the likes of NME was paying better attention, they might have noticed that Daft Punk is still only listed on the rumours page as a simple 'rumour'.

If it were a 'strong rumour' that would be me thinking it was likely to happen, so I'm thinking it's something lesser than 'likely'.

i'm pretty sure they did and are perfectly able to read and understand what the article said, but "Radiohead probably headlining, Stone Roses quite possibly headlining and Daft Punk maybe according to one source" isn't exactly eye-catching.

it's all of comical, and annoying, with a bit of great publicity for efests thrown in.

For a start it's taken them 4 days to notice what we published on Monday.

I've thought about emailing / tweeting but, fuck it, if they want to put their name to those headlines on the basis of what they've quoted from efests then i'm happy for them to stew in their own shitness.

Ah, don't! I've only just recovered from my last binge of it.

My emotions regarding Daft Punk are all over the shop - No idea if I want them to play or not - not having a ticket will do that to you.

I'm obviously hoping for a live return no matter what but I would love to see them in the ultimate pyramid.
