I think the festival management is out of money. By booking Radiohead and AF, they're definitely broke. 

We'll have just two bands, good beers, good food and plenty of time to enjoy the water surrounding the festival. 

I think I'll be fuckin drunk for these two shows, but who cares ! February 3rd, no new names, that's all folks.

 

Ps: I can DJ friday night (if I'm not too drunk)

Huh they better announce something soon, things are getting rather cynical around here.

I'm completely lost atm though...
Options:
a ) they are in fact broke and can't get a decent headliner 
b ) one or more of the big acts have a dutch date before the festival, so we're waiting that
c ) either a or b, plus the tickets are sold out anyway and they don't give a flying puck about announcements
*bonus ) Kasabian, Tame Impala, The XX, Pendulum, Frank Ocean, ATCQ, RHCP, Linkin Park, Prodigy, Rudimental, Run the Jewels, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Iggy Azalea are all already booked, but they are playing the "best kept secret" card and will announce everything on June 15th.

25,000 X 150 Euros = 3.75 million euros, and that's without counting day tickets, plus all accommodation is sold out. They're not skint. And the two headliners won't be on stratospheric money looking at the other festivals they are doing. I'd agree with point c)  - they're sold out so there's no pressure for them. Having the money way up front will probably have an effect on the quality of the line up in a good way and they can book the bands they want as opposed to booking bands they think will sell tickets.  They're also promoters so I also think they may be holding off announcing the line up to get as many sales for the standalone gigs in the run up to June. I expect we'll get a large chunk of the line up in the next announcement, whenever it arrives.

I have no idea what they are waiting for... The only probable headliner touring right now are The XX and they are confirmed for Lowlands and therefor very unrealistic. Other acts touring are much smaller or don't fit (Kings of Leon, The Weeknd, Drake). And I'd be surprised if the third headliner will be someone not discussed so far.

More than twelve weeks without any announcement is a bit annoying, though.

More June festivals with similar band targets are waiting to announce bands. Maifeld Derby (DE), This Is Not A Love Song Festival (FR), We Love Green (FR). The first two are announcing on Feb 12th & 14th.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and reaffirm my belief that it's LCD. Only 2 concert appearances in mid-May and mid-July, both being festivals. Doubt they're going to do just those shows with an album to promote  (assuming it'll be out by then) In betweeen, they could hop over to Europe and do the opposite of last year and play RW and BKS and also fit INMusic in.

Wow. Last saw them in September. :-)

They've gotten to be very good live, they were always a bit patchy. Either amazing or shit, but they've got their act together and hit a lengthy run of form over the last few years.. I'd love them at BKS.
