Best Kept Secret 2017

I think the price increase of tickets (approx 50€) means more money for the lineup.

Now the ticket price is about the same of others big 3days festivals (but with a third of people less).

So my conclusion is: more money = better bands (or at least bigger). :)

I don't think the undercard will be any different from editions like 2013 or 2016 though. Most of that extra ticket money will go directly to the headliners: they admit to spending huge sums on Radiohead and AF in order to keep them out of Live Nation's hands, and an act like The XX or Bon Iver would still be more expensive than 2/3 of the headliners they booked in past editions.

Understand, so what's your prediction on the third headliner?

Something cheaper like Elbow?

My first guesses would be Aphex Twin or The XX, but it could also be acts like Frank Ocean, Sigur Ros, Elbow, Liam Gallagher or Alt-J. I think the festival is a bit young to have a headliner for the second time, but you never know. Sigur Ros as returning headliner would make me more than happy and would fit perfectly (perhaps to well) to Arcade Fire and Radiohead (maybe they could celebrate five years of BKS with a returning original headliner ;) ).

I agree, all of them could be nice but my doubt is if they'll be too expensive according to @Dietediet.

So the question is who's cheap and who expensive. :):)

I'd discount LG, Aphex Twin and Alt-J from that list.

I'd also throw LCD into the equation. Great fit with the other two headliners, not mega bucks and are starting to announce next years plans.

Did the weekend and day tickets sell out last year?

Yes, in the week before the festival took place. Also the first edition (with Arctic Monkeys, Damien Rice, Portishead, Sigur Rós, alt-J, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tyler The Creator and Danny Brown) sold out, but with one stage less and a capacity of 15.000.

I really hope they announce soon.

Checking daily and the wait wait is driving me crazy.

I saw both Rh and AF at NOS Alive last year and only really coming here due to lining up with holiday and friends coming weren't at NOS last year.

LCD would be my perfect third headliner out of the spoken about few. Doesn't seem likely but I can pray. Alt J close second I can hope again as I've never caught them live yet.

Aphex twin are a fav I had sort of just accepted I would likely never see live. But maybe here... maybe.

Flaming lips a huge fav, seeing them in Manchester start of next year.

Sigur Ros or the XX would also be hugely up my street.

I really hope I'm not dissapointed. The hype...

I really hope that the BKS organisers looked at NOS from this year and thought they could do similar. The best line up I've ever seen. gutted I couldn't make it.

I'd be disappointed if Alt-J were booked again. headlined it only last year and there's a bumper amount of bands to choose from next year. Dream pick for me would be the Strokes but I'd happily settle for someone like Moz, Tame Impala or Foals given the strength of the other two headliners.

Still hoping on Elbow !

I like Elbow but can be very same-y in parts live. Chemical Brothers would be my number one pick but probably not the kind of band they go for so the XX would probably be the pick of the possibles so far.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't get more names this week.

My hopes aren't high for the third headliner, i'm guessing Bastille.

But for the rest of the bill I'm hoping for Run The Jewels, Kate Tempest, Julia Jacklin, Amber Arcades, Mitski, Mac DeMarco, LVL UP. and Imarhan.

For me - Chk Chk Chk, Soulwax, Thee Oh Sees, King Gizzard, Flaming Lips, Lemon Twigs, Saint Etienne and De La Soul
