EOTR Arena

Hey all, Considering going to EOTR for first time this year. Was just wondering, is there an arena where they stop you taking your own booze into when watching the bands? cheers

Nope, it's perfectly fine to take your own booze into the arena! One big perk of this festival.

Hell yeah you can !! Every time I've been, however, we've finished our shop bought within 24 hours and relied on the beer tents for the rest of the festival.

It's an interesting one. Went for the first year last year and had intended on taking our own but then they listed what would be available. They have a lot of choice for Ales, a beer festival in the main bar, Beavertown brewery ran another bar. We decided to only take a few in and sample the delights. So different from so many festivals where you can't take your own beer in but the choice on offer is piss!

Sounds good! Is there a good choice in food too?

The food is excellent. Vegans and vegetarians very well catered for. Interesting food too, no grotty burger vans. Lots of places offering up good, hearty breakfasts too. Obviously it all comes at a cost, I wouldn't say any of them are especially cheap, but they're all at the going rate for festival fare.

And the food stalls are not spread out like at most other festivals, they are almost all in one central area, so its very easy to familiarise yourself with the choice or, when you have only time for a quick re-fuel between acts, to find a good one with a shortish queue.

No glass, well, they say no glass but there's plenty of it about, probably best to be respectful though and abide by the rules

I loved the Beavertown bar last year, super expensive, but it's such a cool spot to  hang out between bands.
