Here's my latest attempt at a guesstimation;

Pyramid Stage

Friday: Led Zepellin + Fairport Convention

Saturday: Depeche Mode + Daft Punk

Sunday: Elton John +  Bruce Springsteen

Other Stage

Friday: The Prodigy + Chemical Brothers

Saturday: Green Day + Biffy Clyro

Sunday: The Killers + Stereophonics

Although it might be a tad expensive;

I think Biffy Clyro and The Killers are the only bands on that list to form this century.

So what, not my fault no one who has is big enough/available enough.

Because Led Zeppelin and Daft Punk are clearly gonna be available in 2019.

Who on earth are Fairport Convention and why have you got them subbing the pyramid?

Blasphemy. They're an incredible band. Pioneers of folk rock. 30 studio albums of cracking music to choose from as well.  Sandy Denny of the strawbs was with them briefly in the late 1960s...

They’re not going to sub the Pyramid

What happened to Green Day being Pyramid headliners?

Is the suggestion that one of Depeche Mode or Daft Punk would sub, or that they'd put on a joint show? Either way, amazing.

Joint headliners. 2 hours each (9pm-11, 11pm-1am). Although Depeche Mode then Daft Punk could actually work better thinking about it than my original suggestion.

The Pyramid doesn't stay open until 1am. It's quite loud.

Another way that licensing has killed the fun.

That time allowance has been the case for decades. You have to respect the people who live near the festival and want to go to bed.

Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that your prediction of a double headliner with the second finishing at 1am isn't going to happen.

And Led Zepellin keep hinting at a reunion. 50th anniversary tour possible, would be too big a cash in to miss out on.

Where do they keep hinting? Robert Plant keeps saying ad nauseam that it won't happen, and even Jimmy Page is accepting it's unlikely. If there was going to be a 50th anniversary tour it would be this year.

Just imagine: one of the headliners is a mystery. Lots of people turn up at the Pyramid stage, anxious to find out who it is. Night falls and the moon emerges. Suddenly:

"EVERYBODY YEAH

Yeah yeah..."

The crowd erupts into tears, hugging eachother.

Theyre doing a 25th anniversary tour so never say never...
