Yeah, was thinking the same. It could be a major new stage as it will all link up with backstage of pyramid and other. Considering the number of big acts already announced then that would make sense.

This is definitely what I think.  I don't think any particular band is a particularly big thing.  Even if it's Led Zeppelin, or they brought the other two Bee Gees back to life.  It has to be something that everyone would be interested in, or would affect the festival as a whole, and I don't think any particular act would do that.

It would mean that they've released a false map, but if it's a secret that they've managed to keep, (which they're generally not very good at) it would need to be something that only the Eavises and the builders would know about.

It's a cracking line up, for sure...but is there enough there to justify another major stage?

Just about the best thought to tie in 'really big secret' and 'two years...'. Just can't see there being one big act when the headliners are known and anyone subbing them can't really be that big can they.

Maybe when she says they've booked 2x as many acts it means they're literally putting 2 on each stage at a time, Eric Andre Show style.

Feels a bit like Christmas Eve at the moment waiting for the next announcement/line up/any snippet of info. Tinged with a tiny bit of disappointment when nothing happens, quickly followed by another bout of excitement knowing that it will be Christmas Eve again tomorrow!

I don't think what's going on in the Saxon Markets area can be that big. We've had at least one act say they're playing that area, and it wasn't a big act at all. I can't see that a big act will be sharing a stage with very small ones in such a prominent area (Strummerville and the Crows Nest have unannounced big bands playing up there but they're both tucked out of the way).

Unless it really is going to be a new area with more than one stage.
