When did 21 Pilots get so big? I mean they are popular but I wouldn't have thought they were big enough to be headliners. I might just be getting old and senile.

Thats what I have always thought, like they were a church band up until about 6 years ago doing small time local venues in Ohio. One hit song Blurryface, a follow up song Ride that left a lot to be desired, a soundtrack song Heathens that was very meh out of context of Suicide Squad, a song Jumpsuit that bombed was panned and peaked at 50 in both UK and US charts with lyrics that make no sense, and now a decent offering that sounds very same as everything in My Blood.

How the hell is that band being touted as headliners! BMTH are the same, what have they ever really produced that got commercial interest? 1975 get consistent sold out tours, extra dates sold out, album sales, downloads, chart success. Heck even this years "weak" headlines were still huge in terms of appeal and sales and fans. KoL, FoB and Kendrick are all bands that a lot of people would say "theyre my favourite". BMTH and 21P are just "that other band that I have 1 or 2 songs on my ipod"

Say The 1975 are settling into headline Reading & Leeds, would that tell us that they are not doing Glasto 2019?

It would probably make them less likely because the only R&L headliners who've also played Glastonbury have been co-headliners (with the exception of The Libertines, but they were a last minute replacement who did a secret set).

We also have info from some The 1975 account on Twitter who met Matt Healy and was told that The 1975 aren't playing Glasto.

So on the whole I don't expect them there.

Blurryface has barely been out of the charts since it was released over three years ago. Just keeps selling. If most of the people who got that went out and bought or streamed this new album, it will likely be the biggest rock album of the year.

Except it’s not a rock album :ninja:
