It's fair to say we're not huge fans of theirs, historically Villa were our main rivals, but years in the second tier in the 90's and 00's made the rivalry very intense. Now we hate them both equally.

Spent many hour debating wolves were the bigger team. :P

Everybody hates Leeds

Sometimes I think it would be nice for Leeds to be a big club. You go over to Manchester and see the amount of money having their clubs pulls into the city via the etihad campus and the like. It would be nice if Yorkshire had something similar. Then I quickly come to my senses and think nah.

What a farce - the football league should throw us out for being unable to fulfil a fixture.

Has there ever been a worse name than the Carabao Cup?

I was at the London Stadium on Friday night for the Athletics and it was clear how unsuited it is as a football stadium. What is the feeling amongst Hammers? Are you happy there?

Money means fuck all in footie at the moment. LFC can't spend what they have so why accept gazzillions of Barca's Neymar cash?

Agreed. All well and good getting £120mil for him but who are we going to sign to replace him?

Klopp claiming that as we have bought a left back, James Milner being able to play in midfield again was like a new signing was painful. As was his comment about us not needing a CB as we have 4 good ones. Hopefully he;s just saying this so we don't have to pay overly stupid money for van Dijk.

I really don't think he was saying that we don't need a new CB, I got the impression he that he only wants to get one who's a clear upgrade. Plus the current ones are far from as terrible as everyone makes out.

The Milner being a new midfield comment was a bit cringey but at the same time if Moreno carries on with the level he's been at in preseason it means we have an extra utility/midfield player freed up.

is Sakho back in favour? ( no idea).

And I get the Milner thing. As I said a few weeks back, he's the new Lucus, a utility player who won't necessarily get much game time, but definitely a worthwhile squad player.

I've heard virtually nothing about Sahko, and he's not been involved in any of the squads pre-season so I don't think there's any chance of him getting a look in. A new top quality centre back is needed, but I other clubs are aware of the money they've got to spend, so I don't think they're gonna rush out and overspend for the sake of it.

Edit: Van Dijk's handed in a transfer request. Looks like Chelsea or Liverpool.

I wonder if Liverpool feel safe enough to bid for him? If they do, i guess he's there.

They've been cleared by the league, but it depends if the s'hampton refuse to do business with Liverpool or not.

Lovren is the pits. Klopp's sanity in question if he continues to play him.

He's really not as bad as everyone seems to make out. He's really for 4 out of 5 games but then cocks up in a big way, but Liverpool need someone who is solid throughout a full season.

I thought he was much better last season. He seems to have got his shit together a bit.

He's short of world class of course, but he's not appalling.

Comfortably one of the worst performances I've seen over the weekend.

Manchester United vs Madrid tonight. Predictions?

Incidentally, Lukaku's last kick off a ball in a Chelsea shirt (and under Mourinho) was missing the final penalty in the shootout of the 2013 Super Cup against Bayern. Four days later, loaned to Everton. Within a year, gone.

Been reading in the nationals this morning that if Bale doesn't start, Mourinho will move for him.

Silly money, very reliant on speed, isn't getting any younger and is injured a lot. Has missed 50+ games for Madrid through injury.

Unplayable on his day but too much of a risk for the cash they would want.
