McCallion
Nick Cave is a fantastic booking but you are right in saying it seems a weird first announcement. Maybe a sub-headliner thing like Lenny Kravitz & The Prodigy did in '
kris0624
Not one for me at all. Disappointed tbh. Hope for another name later today

Boykaar
KISS playing Rock Fest in Barcelona on the Werchter weekend. Would that be a possibility?

Gucci Piggy
Fuck me Pearl Jam subbed by Nick Cave would be ridiculous. Also what I predicted yesterday KISS could defo be a possibility now I guess seeing as we were struggling with headliner suggestions. Don't Graspop still have a headliner to announce, though? AAlex
The post on twitter says "on Sunday he will be one of Werchters top acts", surely if he was headlining they'd say that rather than 'one of'? Seems a strange way to start if he isn't an outright headliner, plenty more to come though.

Gossard
If this Pearl Jam tour rumor is to be believed then Pearl Jam will play after Nick Cave......
Gucci Piggy
Don't they usually have major names for each day announced before tickets go on sale? Does that mean we'll be getting more announcements before next Saturday?

Nick Cave and then Pearl Jam would be awesome indeed ! Edited November 17, 2017 by eratiti007

Nicklord
All those people that say they aren't into Nick Cave should go and see his show. He's isn't in my top 20 "studio" artists but live he is in my top 3. I can't say enough how good his show here a month ago was
Gossard
I've seen him three times, he's great....just not big enough to headline imo
gunther Mickey
Nick Cave + Pearl Jam : Very likely but very disappointing for me. I hope bigger acts than Gorillaz or Depeche Mode to take my tickets. Edited November 17, 2017 by gunther Mickey

You just like it better, but stop saying they're bigger.

I hope bigger acts than Gorillaz and Depeche Mode because there will be one day totally forgettable for me (Sunday). I just hope three interesting headliners to be sure to make my ticket profitable. Because I already know that there is a day that will not interest me at all and I think that Gorillaz and Depeche Mode are not attractive enough to pay for a combi for only three days. (Cause ON STAGE Nick Cave is at least as good as Gorillaz and Depeche Mode, and Pearl Jam make them look like beginners x) I became a fan after the PJ show at RW2014, cause I had never seen something like that... And if you play the guitar, you'll be mesmerized, because PJ's guitarist plays like no one else, and if you like singalongs, it's 3hours of intense crowdsinging)

I don't play guitar but I'll go watching that on youtube. I don't hate this band but the singer's voice don't make me feel anything. I prefer the voice of Warhaus' singer and Cage the Elephant for the show :). 1

He played before Volbeat and Rammstein because he wouldn't get squeezed between the two rockbands and their crowds who would probably camp out for Rammstein after Volbeat through Nick Cave. In 2009, Kings Of Leon headlined and 2ManyDJ's were the dance act for that day, so he basically subbed that day. I mean you may not like his music, that's fine but saying that this is a bad booking or announcement is just ignorant, the dude is at the peak of his career selling out Sportpaleis in under 2h is fast.. He'll probably co-headline with some dancey closer (The XX?) or something.

The only thing I've said is that I don't think he's big enough to headline....but as a sub I'm thrilled. I think you got me confused with someone else... And he was kind of a sub in 2013 also as Volbeat got moved from the Thursday later on. At first, it was Nick Cave and then Rammstein.....
arcuse
Gossard No no, that last bit wasn't about you but just in general for the ones who have doubts about him taking a big spot.
Gucci Piggy
He played a 1.5 hour slot in 2013, too, and I remember reading on here at the time that he was the actual sub for that day.
McCallion
I think he'll probably end up in some sort of co-headliner structure, but I really wouldn't mind him as an outright headliner. He'll shift day tickets and he's an amazing artist at his peak
Gucci Piggy
I think he'll probably end up subbing Pearl Jam. They've probably announced him now because they can't announce Pearl Jam until December so they want the next biggest act on that day announced before tickets go on sale.
