KC , best time to get there on Thursday

Hello, this year's kc will be my first ever festival. We have the Thursday tickets as well as the weekend, it opens at 9am on Thursday, is it worth setting off early to get there on the dot? Also, where is best to pitch your tent, want to be in the busiest place possible. Also, are there any don't s on placing your tent? Any other golden nuggets of advice are appreciated

Wolf Woods would be the busiest area. And rowdiest. Come down the hill from the entry gates, turn right and go as far as you can !

Don't take anything that you would be mortified about losing/getting nicked.

Take a roll of gaffer tape...will fix a multitude of broken things/emergency tent patch.

Don't camp next to walkways.

Don't camp near hedges and fences as people use them as toilets (dirty bastards).

Take a tent that is bigger than the number if people staying in it 1 person in a 2/3 man tent, 2 people in a 4 man tent etc).

If you still want me to put your tent up im going to put it as close to the top 3 options as I can. Must be somewhere in emperors that ticks all the boxes !

The earlier the better for getting in, we once arrived 2 hours after opening and it seemed to take forever to get in. The nearer the arena entrance the busier it is. Personally I avoid gen pop, it's the last days of Sodom and Gomorrah.
