Family friendly festivals which allow caravans and tents to camp together?

We went to Camper Calling this weekend and loved it, have been looking at other family friendly festivals for next year and can't find any others that allow you to pitch a tent next to a caravan. Does anyone have any recommendations? We have a huge tent for the kids and a 2 berth caravan with awning.

just about all festivals allow a tent or two next to a campervan, even if they say they don't.

Best bet is to identify a festival you're interested in, and then ask on here how it really works (rather than how the fest says it works).

I would hate to get there and find couldnt put kids tent next to our caravan tho! It's a massive 9 man dome tent, we've got away with it as glastonbury and camper calling but some of the others seem a bit stricter in their FAQ's

We paid for 2 pitches at camper calling, and loads of people have massive tents in the campervan fields at glasto. It's not really 9 berth even though it's advertised as such, it's more like 6 berth I would say. Our 4 children sleep in it as our caravan is tiny and only has 1 bed, we like the caravan for comfort and cooking/washing facilities, and the toilet!

thing is, there's a difference between fitting tents in the allocated space around the vans, and having a tent that intrudes into space that should be for another pitch. Which one you might be doing isn't really clear.

Most festivals are quite generous with their space (most festies say what it is), as it has to allow for awnings on the side of a van. (That accounts for the tents around vans at places like Glastonbury in most instances [tho there's always a few who are excessive]).

If you don't have an awning and the tent would be filling a similar space as an awning it shouldn't be a problem.
