Weezer would've been good tbf. I only saw them for the first time at the Hella Mega show with Green Day & Fall Out Boy in 2022 but they were rather good.

 

I particularly enjoyed the singer miming guitar for Island in the Sun because his wouldn't work so they just ran with it.

The front man is ace. I saw weezer way back when Reading was good.

was that 2002 (i think??) ??

 

the one and only time i ever properly enjoyed being at Reading for the weekend was when i worked the bar there and by some bizarre fluke ended up working the backstage bar... vague memories of Weezer chilling in the lounge back there...

Yes he won’t be touring. But I wonder if he would make the odd appearance depending on how he is feeling.
