I just heard that Jamiroquai are playing Reading. I f**king love those guys!

Where's this from? A new user just joined and is posting all sorts of stuff including this.

Very weird booking for R&L lol

Maybe in Reading or Readipop?

Readipop looks tiny

Reading itself has no suitable venues for them - none are big enough, nor do they have park shows etc

Ffs it's a peep show reference calm down lads 🤣🤣

Ah right - someone said it on the R&L board so it added up.

Reckon they could be the first Wilderness name mind you

Fair point. I think Jay Kay et al are a much bigger draw than I imagine!

Forgot the Peep Show reference. I did rewatch the one where Mark makes friends with a racist this week. Some of the stuff coming out of Darryl’s mouth could easily be Trump or Farage quotes!

I thought Readipop was a pun about how Reading Festival is getting poppier. I didn't know it was an actual festival ngl.

Although the organisers have said they won't be able to hold an event in 2025, which sounds like a shame as it seems like it had good intentions in raising funds for charities that way.

Ticketmaster's TikTok account teasing a big rock show in Cardiff tomorrow at 9am. "(and maybe dig out the skinny jeans and black eyeliner)". Looks like Cardiff Castle in the video

One Twitter/X user was suggesting MCR.

We think this could be a possibility or is it unlikely?

I'd have guessed not, if only because it feels small for them doing The Black Parade -but you never know.

Feel like there's space for a May/June visit to Europe. Agree that Cardiff Castle is on the small scale given what it is they're doing in America though.

Shows that had some tickets priced at face value non-VIP in excess of $500, I add, which f**king hell US gigs are insane.

Apparently the much larger Blackweir Fields (a continuation of Bute Park, behind the castle) is being used for concerts next year, c35,000 capacity

That's lunatic pricing, but I'll be honest, I'd be staggered with anything below eighty quid here, especially if it is behind the album.

The reunion show in Milton Keynes was over £75, which was already top-end before the 22/23 inflation spiral made concerts stupid pricey.

Although tbf I got mine on Twickets on show day for less than FV given the Thursday night show seemed to be a slow seller.

Standing, I assume? Paid £44.50 for mine at face value on seats.

Standing, yeah. That's what my friend and I did.

Then ended up in a position by the dugout where the sound was disappointingly muffled. Killers in Coventry the week after was just a lot punchier.

The Killers might be the only band I've seen sound better in a stadium than a small venue. Sounded a bit off in Sheffield at the O2 Academy, then excellent in Doncaster a week later.
