with 17 bands you could probably have alternating sets without overlap til you got to the last 5 or 6 names where they would need more time. The Cure did it 5 years ago with Pasadena Daydream. It was a dozen acts on 2 stages. Went back and forth with 5 min gaps til the small stage ended and then Pixies came on and play 75 mins. Then after 30 mins stage change The Cure played an hour 45. It was done by 11pm. Obviously Kraftwerk will have to be last cause they need the dark. So they could go on at 9:30 and go til 11? Pretty easy to give the first acts 30 mins and then slowly increase set length. I would say it wouldve been a bigger clash problem if you had 25 acts on the bill, but you dont. Really smart.

Live at Leeds do 16 acts on the 2 bigger stages with hardly any overlap.

Cure played for like 2 hours 15 mins at Pasadena Daydream in 2019. There were only about 10 acts on the bill, rather than 15+ and they had all been handpicked by The Cure.

Fontaines DC's decision to drip feed these big outdoor shows is a weird one.
Waiting on a Scottish date still.

I know for a fact their summer tour is constantly changing and not really fully planned in general.

I have a friend who works in a promoter agency that mostly operates in the Balkans. He said the band and managers are open to playing literally anywhere and the plans changed constantly. Said the date for the Belgrade show moved at least 5 times in the weeks before the announcement, which doesn't really happen usually

Interested to see who else they've got lined up for these events. The initial press release mentioned 4(?) concerts so hoping for some good names if they're all of a similar size to KOL.

I think this is going to become the norm and I hate it. Very predatory to wait for all the people that have to travel but don't have an alternative to buy tickets.

This is going to catch so many people out along the way as well. I have london tickets as announced first but I have now manchester and newcastle nearer. Only saving grace is the supports so far are class.

I remember a couple of years ago Muse announced a Bristol stadium date a few weeks after their main tour, and there was some kind of opportunity to swap your tickets from the others to that if you wanted.

Yeah the London show is by far the most ideal line-up, but I ain't travelling. I'm not going any of them to be honest, just in case they announce a show in my back garden.
