Doesn’t feel like many of the big gigs sell out right now, people can’t afford a £80 day out before even considering travel, food and of course drink

interested to see how arctic monkeys sell on Friday based on how badly they were received at reading and leeds

Yep, this. The thought of shelling out hundreds to stand at the back isn't appealing. And of course, is what makes Glastonbury still good value.

Saw George Ezra last night in Glasgow, was pretty decent, though he did lose me in the middle a bit. I really only know the stuff he's released as singles.

What was odd through, was for an arena gig, there was something very festival about it and can't quite put my finger on why, but great atmosphere all round.

Only problem with acts that have mass market appeal is the crowd they tend to draw. People that are just going cause he's the fella that does that song they like. They just go for a jolly, get steaming and annoy everyone else.

I just wonder if FT adds a date that anyone who had a request denied will just automatically be shifted towards that new date.

No way will that happen as it says you cannot refund if you get a date you don't want.

Weird system, if you happen to win both dates and only want one - there isn't really anything you can do. It should let you rank them
