Over 50 bands playing on one day on four stages but in two stage areas. Only two bands playing at any one time. If they pull it off they should win the noble prize for organisational skills
FloorFiller
Leaning a bit more towards pop/punk than this years emo/post hardcore. Not as good for me personally but I’m sure it’ll still sell out almost instantly as well as the added dates. At least 1 act reported that they had no idea they were booked to play this years festival. 1 hour ago, FloorFiller said: Leaning a bit more towards pop/punk than this years emo/post hardcore. But thers is also an element of the festivals actual name being truer this time. There is a lot of bands on this year's who I wouldn't say I listened to when I was 16-22....they weren't around for one lol.

That's quite telling that the last one was in 2017 with clearly not overall as stellar lineup and a totally different venue. There is usually a reason why something doesn't run the following two years. I get the defending of it but festivals don't try and get the next years money in before the current year ends if they don't have doubts. It's going to be bottleneck city all over. Well it started in southern california by an indie promoter and was small, so why wouldnt it be way different. Live Nation bought the brand and the people who book it and made it much bigger. I think Live Nation wants to get thier money now and will worry about recession issues later. But you want to say they have doubts about the event? They sold out 3 dates of next weeks version in under an hour. This will likely have the same result. Why did they pretty much spend most of this year getting the following year ready to go and booked? Dont you wish the Eavii had that much work ethic in them to be able to have a lineup ready a year in advance and even bold enough to present it this soon? Theyre undercutting all of their competitor by doing this, its fucking business. There was already an event earlier this year with the same set up and all, and Live Nation putting it together. Some acts were late and got rescheduled and there was a false alarm on an incident. And other than the hot weather people seemed to have a good time. So thanks for hoping that we're all gonna die cause you think the number 1 concert promoter in the world is being weird by being greedy and setting up new precedents. Cant wait til the schedule comes out next week and youre going to say its the worst thing ever. when Glastonbury does the same exact thing and on an even larger scale, but thats ok, cause its all about walking around and having a pint apparently. Well, maybe you should go also then Jeff because you couldn't see driving home the other night, because you, you don't even wear your glasses on TV in case you get slagged off. The main stage there would have an hour on, then an hour off throughout the day. This would be mitigated here by the main stage having 2 side by side, so the music in that area would never stop. The weird shape of the VIP and GA areas in front of it look designed to stop movement between those 2 stages even. Then, similar to the Barn and Klub C at Werchter, the Stripe and Checker stages will probably alternate bands. Can't really see any problems, although I can enjoy the videos online if there are. Padjeq
Blink 182 prices: £103.20 front standing £80.70 rear standing seats start at £52 Double what I paid a few years ago, and I hate the the half and half standing areas. I hate using Ticketmaster, but our group are all huge Blink fans, so don't want to miss out. Begrudgingly paid it. 😪

Very dramatic response, no one said we're all to die lol. I'm not biased towards any event including Glastonbury. If i think they've fucked up or something isn't as good as it used to be etc then I'll say. Fuck no wonder the Coachella forums can't stand you.
