You are tragically angry about this. Your opinion is not the be all and end all my friend.

Never said it was.  It does however, remain my opinion.

Whats going on with Blossoms? They've supported ALOT in the last couple of years!

As a big Blossoms fan, I see them as just a quite big cult band. Ask most people and they don't really know many of the songs, even though they may have heard of the band. It seems that you either really like them, or are just not that interested in them. Charlemagne is really their only "hit" that people seem to recognise at support slots or lower down festival bills, but even then most people would struggle to name that as a Blossoms song.

Its similar to Courteeners but obviously Blossoms have a shot at a bit more mass appeal.

Its good to see them on the likes of Graham Norton now, and this Gary campaign along with the mad videos etc seems to have got people noticing them more, but in Malta at that LG Weekender, which you'd think would be their core audience, people didn't seem interested even though they were headlining the Saturday night.

I think they need to do something new to push towards a mass audience and avoid being one of those indie bands that's just "there". I think the support slots they've chosen are very clever - they have a Radio 2 type appeal so Stereophonics works, especially as they're such big venues. And  Inhaler seem to be getting a proper "stan culture" crowd, and that's a pretty new audience for Blossoms that might get into them (I hope not, but I see the logic)

Just had a read of his wiki page, and ive definitely never seen a Hugh Jackman film, or heard his singing voice. He is however a Port Adelaide fan in the aussie rules, despite being born in Sydney and having lived extensively in Melbourne, and for that i conclude that he must be at least a bit of a twat.

So i'll not be watching him at Hyde Park, and if by some strange chain of events i do find myself there, i'll tell him that Port stink.

LG Weekender attendees likely have a high crossover with the people on Radio X's comments saying oasis should be supported by 90s bands who have 'earned' their place etc

Blimey, ELO tickets were expensive. I guess it's the going rate but hits harder when it's not one of your favourite artists.

But shout out to whoever posted you only regret the gigs you don't go to, or something along those lines. They're one of my old man's favourite bands, but he's never seen them live. I had two tickets in the basket for a few minutes, considering whether I should spend £320 (all in) on two 'AMP club premium' tickets for Manchester. Thought back to that comment and went for it. He deserves it, it'll be the last chance he gets to see them if they're calling it a day and it'll be a nice boys night out!

As for 'AMP club', presuming it'll be a nice lounge-type with hugely expensive drinks and snacks, and it looks like a nice lovely seat that is central but right at the back - but it's all I could get at that point. But any experiences of others welcome!

You've never seen The Prestige? You should remedy that ASAP!
