Line up prediction game 2018

I’ve just bought tickets so anytime soon would be nice :-)

£313 for 2 tickets, not including Thursday or emperors. Ouch !

Hope Craig Charles makes a return. That must be a couple of years he’s been missing.

Think they’ll book the Gerry Cinammon fella for here and their Scottish adventure where they have grass - Electric Fields.

Well Liam Gallagher is being listed on songkick for Kendal, no idea if that site is accurate or not.

Wouldn’t be surprised mate but no idea on songkick.

Him and the Libertines seem a good fit for KC and can’t see how he would cost more the Noel did.

Im keeping my fingers crossed for Chic. Have seen them a couple of times already at festivals but they would be perfect for the fields.

The Beat got a new album coming out and they were decent at electric fields last summer.

No idea how the legals between them stand, but I reckon Wakling's got a huge cheek nicking the name that Roger has spent decades adding value to while Wakling has been in the states.

And on Jools they were very obviously the inferior version.

It is what it is and as far as I’m aware it’s all sorted.

They both play the same songs and the Jools version are looking to move on with a new record. Everyone who’s seen both agrees with you on who’s best but the Jools version we’re booked for EF and did a decent job in an afternoon slot.

Theres enough go to KC that like that sort of thing, chai wallahs always book lots similar.

Talking of which, trombone shorty would be amazing in there but no idea on cost.

is it?

I realise that they've both come from the same place and historically they might have equal rights to the name - or Wakeling even have greater rights - but Wakeling has been in the states and it's Roger who's kept the name alive AND enhanced it.

And Wakeling has changed the name he's using since the summer, to make it the same as the Roger version (which it's not been for more than a decade, even on the few occasions Wakeling came to the UK).

Wakeling's website has them as 'the english beat' (the name used in the USA). On Jools they were "The Beat".

Aye at EF they were Dave wakelings the beat.

I assume the long winded name was to differentiate between the 2 and get round any legals.

Since they were booked and performed I assumed this was all good and with a new album I’m guessing they will be out and about in the summer.

Maybe they could support one of the ub40’s :-)

I've just had the definitive on that from a man who knows, and that's definitely not happening.

But the hotpots probably are. :P

You’ve only just found that out .......... !!?? That’s like November news !

and as for the hotpots! Predictable as ever ! Disgraceful that they play every year
