Yep. And they’d started taking the same ‘no expenses’ approach to the 50th only for it all to go to waste. Crying shame. 

Yes, but Beyonce was yet to reach cultural colossus levels there, I'd argue - it just looks spectacularly massive in hindsight.   Know they're not exactly at the cutting edge of the cultural conversation anymore, but AM reliably remain one of the biggest homegrown rock acts of their generation, and GNR are one of the biggest live acts of all time. Even if neither blew the night away in question, on paper, they were very strong, I'd argue.

If the three most rumored acts for Coachella happen then they're top line with make our current expected look very poor.
