Anyway J Hus doesn't look to be playing Wireless so I reckon he's gonna get a decent slot at R&L, possibly on an exclusive. R1 headliner or 2nd/3rd main I reckon.

He played Main last time so if he is back I would expect it to be headlining the tent. R1 headliner would be perfect but I’m sure I saw that he said he isn’t going to tour anymore?

Yeah I think I've read that too and I was surprised that he's not on the Wireless lineup so maybe it's true and he won't play at all.

That would be a pretty awesome lineup. Saturday doesn't really take my fancy as much but I do like Lizzo and Sam Fender. May I ask, who's C+S referring to?

Why are so many people sure BMTH are headlining?

I’m not sure actually, but I think it’s 99% confirmed from what people have been saying

Also that new Gorillaz single is top notch

Because, they have been bumped up and up over the years until they have been subbing. Mainstream radios are really bumping there music now, they're getting the streams and views. Sold out shows and were expected to co last year.

FR need to start introducing new acts to the headline slots so in 5 years when all the "legendary legacy headliners" are out the game and they cant go back to Foos, Eminem, Rage, Arctic Monkeys etc they have a new generation of acts that have been headlining a while.

Panic, Fallout boy, BMTH, 21 Pilots, 1975, Post Malone are the latest of such.

Either way, MCR stands for

Muse // Courteeners + LG // Red Hot Chili Peppers

Can we start a petition for no lil to be at the festival 😂 seen a festival get announced the other day and a good 30% of the line up was lil somone

Good comment to make yourself look out of touch, pretty much like saying let's not have any bands with a P in their name, like yeah a lot of the lil acts are poor but it's not like they're all related 😂 awful lot of diversity between acts with the name lil

All of those acts will more than likely still be about in five years, I don't think Alex Turner is gonna die of old age at 39, we're not talking about the fucking Stones here lmao

Bro, Panic/Fallout Boy and BMTH are dated as fuck (I appreciate that in BMTH's case, they're only peaking now) but the former two had their peak in 2007. They are the old guard. If you should expect anyone to drop off in the next five years, it should be them.

They've had a resurgence now because they're riding current pop trends (some of which are throw backs to 80s synth pop and new wave), rather than because they're leading them. If that isn't a sign of stagnation and depreciating clout, I don't know what is.

You mean Panic! at the Disco who sold more tickets for their last tour than most other headliner this festival books? Yeah, they sure peaked in 2007.

Yeah Panic! didn't peak in 2007 they're bigger than ever currently

This thread has descended into chaos! Reading really need to announce something soon before we all get sectioned, highly doubt that LG being the only person playing the fest currently is shifting a huge amount of tickets

They were all about but none of them peaked.

Sure that is probably the time when  they had the most of "their own dedicated fanbase"  but that's not what R&L are. When they headlined that was the top of there recognition amongst the casual music listeners who dont care about buying a ticket to their show but would listen to them headline a festival.

Green day were around 15 years before American Idiot, and they had some good songs but they peaked when American Idiot brought in the casuals and generics.

Eminem too, bangers then The Eminem Show came out and he opened it up to the wider audience.
