It's really looking like it's going to be Florence, Mumfords & possibly Foals after that Newcastle festival announcement. 

Which wouldn't surprise me, but I expected more I think.

Foals didn't sell out The Hydro in 2016 so I can't see them being booked to headline this. I still think Paolo Nutini, Florence and Mumfords but there doesn't seem to be too many other options.

From this list of gigs just announced in Manchester early July I'd like to see The National and Elbow at TRNSMT in 2nd or 3rd top slots.

The National under a suitable headliner (no idea who) would be alright but I dread to think how badly they'd go down before most possible headliners. Hoping they do a gig up here rather than TRNSMT.

That's a fair point, I really like Interpol but they got a pretty flat reception from the Arctic Monkeys crowd this year and I don't imagine The National would fare any better with a mainstream headliner.

The National head to Mad Cool the weekend after Manchester gig. Think that would make them unlikely

Couldn't give a fuck if The National are booked or not. Have no interest in seeing them in front of a crowd who will be 100% dead.

Could picture Weezer playing on one of the days as it can fit in their tour schedule but don't know who would headline that day. I had predicted Muse to play one of the dates but their tour doesn't fit anymore. Honestly have no clue who's going to be playing this.

MGMT possibly? seems unlikely as their tour finishes mid-december and don’t see any reason they’d return next summer not long after their last tour.. wishful thinking on my part as i would love to see them play.. Florence and Mumford seem the most obvious headliners and will no doubt sell tickets fast but really doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest.. i would love Foals to play too so i’ve got my fingers crossed.

Any news @eFestivals? Looks like the Swedish Mafia Propaganda didn’t have anything to it if Creamfields claims its propaganda. Foos are out of the frame with Muse, who’s left? The Strokes? I don’t feel that Florence fits it and god forbid Mumfords headline. What’s your view on it and who do you reckon will headline?

DF's favourite K headliners don't seem to be mentioned yet.  Killers, KOL, Kasabian are their go to bands.  I'd guess Flo and the god awful mumford lot are a good bet.  Biffy also active next summer

Florence fits it perfectly.
