Are Fleetwood Mac a possibility at all? That would be a dream!

I think they’ve posted sth on the socials a while back that the currently planned shows will be the only European dates this Summer or year, making Pinkpop their only festival gig.

Edit: strangely I can’t seem to find it anymore.

Just seems odd, that they wouldn’t have announced if it was an act that is playing at Glastonbury... hopefully we will hear some news this week.

as the black keys aren’t a huge announcement really

I don't know how Halsey is top line.

Considering a far superior janelle Monae is a line below.

I'm really hoping for St Vincent/Janelle for MC. Though i think St Vincent may be taking a break. She has some festivals in South America in May. Don't think she'd get the band back together only for 6 shows.

Cause she's huge now in the US. Same for Sturgill Simpson and The Lumineers.

Janelle is ruled out .

In this interview a booker of MC.

I have just had a little browse at recent tweets from the festival account. Today they have replied with a 'proximente' gif, and yesterday they replied to someone saying "Soon we will give you news... Many ?" + "at the moment is all we can say!"

Sounds promising. They are clearly sat on there hands for a reason, and just waiting until the go-ahead for the announcement. They appear quietly confident.

Yeah I noticed last week that they seemed confident about what they were holding back. I mean, they aren't going to say "don't get your hopes up guys, it's going to be a shit announcement", but they're also not staying ominously silent either. I just don't see how they can pull anything out the bag that won't annoy a significant chunk of people though. Most of the huge names they could have are already ruled out, and looking at the lineup they have co-headliners for each day, so it's only going to be act(s) that are similar in stature. It would be nice to get it in the open though so we can shift to discussing the lineup and the festival and not speculating on an announcement.

Whilst I agree with you on how it'll turn out, I don't think the bit I've highlighted is necessarily true. They had Arctic Monkeys and Jack White as co-headliners for starters, completely different stature. Florence show tomorrow, I'm going for an announcement next week including her.

Ah yeah, you're right there. I was thinking more of an expensive big act. I can't imagine, for a wild example, they've booked the Stones and they're going to billed alongside Bon Iver as co-headliners. It could be a bigger band than Bon Iver/The Cure, but I can't see it being some mega $$$ act.

Yeah agreed. And I'm still fearful that the Cure will be sole headliners. I reckon Flo co with Bon Iver and then I'd be pleasantly surprised if there's another.

Any signs Black Keys are coming to Europe? Or is it now more likely they're starting off in the US in August?

Bit out of left field, but I've noticed that Tenacious D have a gap after their European tour that would be perfect for some European festivals, before they head back to the US... Idk if any of you are fans of the D but that would be a wild set if MC have booked them

No sign yet. I reckon they will do some shows before Woodstock though, at least for some kind of warm up.

Sure, why not? I'd happily watch them. I've seen them before so I'm not desperate for them to appear, but they'd be a fun act lower down on the card.

Personally hoping for John Fogerty. Not sure what the chances are - he has a show on the Thursday so he could be available for the Saturday.

Just a thought: Why would TBK force MC and NOS to hold back an annoucement, if they even announced their headline tour before Woodstock. I can‘t see a reason in exclusivity.

Can't see a reason either. Would have made sense if they announced Mad Cool along with their tour dates, but can't see why they'd make Mad Cool wait until now.

I think the Florence theory is the most likely and they've held back the other names to beef the announcement up. I would accept Florence if they announce her with any of the following also on the bill. Bmth, nothing but thieves, garbage, rudimental, could list a lot more. At least jparx will be happy with Florence haha

The Black Keys and Florence,

That's who we're pinning our hopes on.

Jesus Titty F*&king Christ

Maybe Prophets Of Rage, System Of A Down + Gambino could save us.

I'm not sure people are pinning their hopes on them as much as they seem to be two of the most likely.

Also comes down to personal preference though, personally am hoping for Florence but know theres others that dont care for her

OK, Florence gig is now in the books. I still don't quite buy they were just waiting for her to reveal the lineup, but if they were then I guess today would be the day, right? Whatever is holding them up/the embargo is, you have to think they will announce it as soon as possible.

It would be kind of bizarre for one of the biggest European festivals to be put out of shape so badly by a not-massive headliner playing a gig near the end of March. And it doesn’t explain why they’d halt the whole lineup either. Still, I’m clueless as to what could hold this up for so long.
