  1. 1. If The Cure were to headline would you be there? I'm intrigued due to the varied opinions of them on here.

    • Yes - Definitely, regardless of who else is on the other stages.

    • More than likely - Depending on strength of the clashes on other stages.

    • Unlikely - Know a couple of songs but there would probably be something else on you'd watch instead.

    • No - Never been a fan so will definitely be elsewhere.

It would depend on clashes, but would be very likely to be there. Went to Hyde Park this year and I absolutely loved it. I'm a lightweight fan - just know the singles (and not even all of them) and I was honestly blown away by how great they were. Would love to see them again, but if there was an act on that I'd never seen and unlikely to see again then that might swing it.

Hard pass from me, unless it’s an unprecedentedly lame night elsewhere. Thrilled that the musicos look like they’re getting a headliner for them this year after the crowd-pleasing directions the Pyramid took in 2016 and 2017, though.

In fairness they did have Radiohead headlining last year

True ? There will have been a fair proportion of that crowd ‘there for the hits’ and bored by the rest of it, though. The Cure (if it happens) will get a small but dedicated crowd and be all the more intense and enjoyable for it, I expect.

Possibly the only thing that'd stop me from seeing The Cure on the Pyramid would be a The Knife reunion on West Holts, on the onus they actually sing the bloody tunes rather than badly dance to a backing track of them.

Thought this was about The Cure at first. What a strange sight that would be.

They were the first band I really got into, back around the time Wish came out, and I finally saw them live on their last tour.  I was pretty disappointed by all the dreary heavy songs, but I was a bit pissed off having a cold at the time and not really in the mood having rushed from work.  For old time's sake if nothing else, I reckon I'd give them another go.
