EMorgz92
Don't really want to just throw £300 in the pot... the link shared by @glasto-worker takes you to the same URL however if you click through the 'sign up' button, albeit with a 'checking for places' waiting page in between..... are we thinking it's legit? MrZigster
Can also confirm it's legit. This'll be my fourth time with them. Everything is as everything was (so to speak).
gooner1990
I just signed up and paid the £300 and seems to have confirmed me a place?! Hi, Xxxx Thank you for placing your deposit to volunteer with Shelter at Glastonbury 2019. glasto-worker
its now going to wait list ' if you go though the normal entry point ' https://england.shelter.org.uk/support_us/events/volunteer_at_glastonbury_register/waiting_list which may sound a long shot but I know two people in a previous year who did get offered places - they were certain they were stuffed but they did get placed. I hope that everyone has fully read the terms and conditions before they applied.
gooner1990
@glasto-worker I did, but which ones are you specifically referring to?

Although I will be dropping in on one of the Directors just to have a quick chat.

There is a chance that one or two Volunteers who stand out may even be offered a ' paid job ' in future years { From time to time Avalon may send a few to become Personal Licence Holders (APLH) - sure it wont happen every year but it may happen in some years }

gooner1990
Does anyone who's done this previously know where the coach leaves from in Bristol and at roughly what time? I live about an hour away by train from Bristol but would prefer to drive as I would need to get a cab to and from the station which will cost £20 approx each way (on top of the train fare) and thought perhaps I could leave my car nearby if possible (might be a bit of a struggle for 7 days!) Halfspin
I googled carpool and there are lots of car share websites where lifts are available from most places.https://www.blablacar.co.uk/http://carshare.liftshare.com/festivals You should be able to find something close to home. Shelter bring you into the festival by coach from various points the nearest one to me is Bristol so I only need to get to there not Glastonbury. Halfspin
Yes, you could find a lift from close to home to Bristol, just showing you an alternative way from trains and cabs.
