Which would go down a jobby in the punch bowl on here, but would be the simplest option for the festival. Anyone who went to T in the Park 2004 can attest to the sort of trauma caused by bumping up the sub regardless of quality. Noel instead of McCartney is nothing compared with The Darkness instead of David Bowie.
Andre91
If Macca drops out because he’s aged, let Aerosmith headline. They’re just as aged but Steve Tyler and Joe Perry have enough of the most Class A of Class A chemicals permanently lingering in their bodies to kill off anything.

Headliners become Aerosmith, Ozzy and the Stones. Keef in particular doesn't actually have a respiratory system anymore, binned that off in '

Hugh Jass
So that’s it - Kendrick, Macca and Taylor are your three. Before we consign this thread to history can we just take a moment to acknowledge what an absolute belter of a trio that is.

jparx
Best three headliners they’ve ever booked, in my opinion of course. Beats 2009 for me. 2

MEGATRONICMEATWAGON
I'm not amazed by the headliners this year. Taylor and Kendrick are massive stars, well-liked, but then so is Bovril. I find them both over-hyped and I can't imagine there being a big party at either. Macca... I guess if you like bland rock then he's your man. Can't help but feel like there's better acts out there to book for the 50th anniversary. They're incredibly popular but boring AF.
Hugh Jass
I made the mistake of looking at a few of the comments under the FB announcement. I’d like to use a incredibly un-PC term to describe some of the people commenting, but I’ll refrain. CaledonianGonzo
Usefully, "c**ts" is a perfectly politically correct term.

Taylor will bring the party big time - 2 hours of upbeat bangers to close out the weekend - cannot wait 😀

I get he wants to play every stage but headlining seems such a lazy booking and waste of a slot to me when he's there every single year. Yup. What a waste of an Other Headliner! gorfield
Not really a line up for me... I didn't get a ticket and wont try in the resale. Its a lot of money - probably about a grand altogether including everything for us to go as a family. I know there's a lot of variety etc etc but I used to love festivals for the loud rock music - I think Download is probably the only one left for me now really. It used to be Leeds but that's not for me anymore either.
