Mixers is a given, do we know the opening hours? 5am on the way back from the SEC could be a smart time to pop in and do the weekly big shop. According to the Coop 'colleague' website opening hours are 7am-3am. https://colleaguestories.coop.co.uk/co-op-festival-crew-information-page-everything-you-need-to-know-before-you-apply/
gratefulbread
They won't tell me whether or not they're stocking ice. Starting to think they won't.
rosieangel
I heard on twitter they were selling meal deals, ice and mixer, but the tweeter wasn't sure if the co-op responder actually knew for sure ?

Fairly normal at the festivals they did last year, but those were all arena based festivals with the store out in the campsite - so who knows if this will be any different. Does anyone have an idea of what they were selling at Download? From the replies to this it seems like we'll be getting actual bottles of mixer. Fair enough, is it possible to nip off site to go to a local supermarket instead? Thinking of doing a stock up run on the Friday morning. This would come in handy, although surely selling big one use bottles of pop goes against the whole ‘no plastic’ thing this year. Is there a plastic alternative they plan on using? Or is the no plastic thing just a dead end before it’s even begun?

Thinking of doing a stock up run on the Friday morning. There are shuttle buses to Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet. If you are driving expect to get parked up miles away on return. https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/getting-here/by-bus/ Edited June 17, 2019 by Rufus Gwertigan

Not sure how to embed tweets but if you go into the tweet they say they're using 100% recyclable plastic of their own brand stuff.

Nice. The mixer situation seemed like it was gonna be a real pain this year if it was just cans available so this would be a real life saver, especially if the prices are kept reasonable. Fingers crossed its all okay, would happily pay a couple quid for a 2 liter bottle of fizz, stock up a few on the first day, restock if need be. Re plastics/mixers:Well as we’ve mentioned it is going to be a very demanding environment to work within, for example we are forecasting to sell 25,000 bottles of 2L Spring Water per festival – that is a lot of water to restock and also process through the tills! Also implies it's 24-hour: The store will be staffed 24 hours a day and we are forecasting over 10,000 customers every 24 hours,

This bit definitely suggests it will only be 7-3: "It will be trading from 7am – 3am and will be staffed 24 hours and will have up to 18 tills in operation." Could be different for Glastonbury of course.

Wurzelcat
Might have to do a bit of taste testing at my local coop for their own brand soft drinks and mixers then, at least be prepared for what I'm letting myself in for. I really just want to be able to buy a bottle of tonic if I run out, or a 500ml bottle of coke but latter sounds unlikely, can't ever remember seeing co-op own brand cola
