the prisoner
I'm the promoter of this festival - great to see someone has picked up on it! We are probably not the coolest event listed, but we are probably the friendliest and one of the best value. Very family friendly - unlimited free rides on our fairground and a free shuttle bus to and from Chester train station. I think we have a pretty good line up. Saturday we have The Feeling, The Dunwells, The Carnival Day Ball (from one of the girls who puts on the shows @ Alberts Schloss), Foo Fighterz (saw them at IOW and had to have them), SWJ Group, Camens and Mississippi Riot. Sunday is some old school dance - Symphonic Ibiza (just doing the Edinburgh fringe at the mo and killing it) ably supported by Natasha Hamilton & Marcella Woods on vocals, K Klass, Baby D, Cappella, Shiva (first show in nearly 25 years), BinGO Large, Mark Radcliffe's UNE & Geddes & Gioia Friday night is an Oktoberfest with the Bavarian Strollers & local band Zoot Serious (hi energy r & b) We have Day of the Dead parades, Roman Gladiator fights and Bring The Fire Project from Liverpool doing some performance work and workshops. Oh and some outrageously good food. Come and check us out if you are around Cheshire or North Wales. devafest.co.uk for all the info CCHR1.pdf
