Clashfinder Stats

If you are a premium member of clashfinder you get to see some bonus stats including how many highlights each act has. I like checking these out on the lead up to a fest, just to get an idea of what is popular, and as it's been a week since the announcement I imagine the counts will have levelled out a lot.

Unfortunately this year clashfinder has changed the way they display their stats. In stead of giving you the raw data for highlight counts, they now give it to you as percentage of users. Not entirely sure how it works for acts with multiple slots (it records different names differently e.g. Fat Boy Eats Everything is at #52, but not sure how it manages the 2 Idles sets)

This is the top 50 acts currently:

Intersting points:

- How much lower Stormzy is compared to the 2 headliners (#24 vs. #2 and #4)

- Was expecting George Ezra to be a lot higher tbh...

- Lizzo winning the clashwar vs. Janet

What the hell is a Sister Bliss DJ set doing in the mid-30s?!

Saw a mate the other day who is a big music fan but not super switched on to new/underground stuff, and this was the main thing she mentioned as being excited about.

Big dance name post headliner, not surprised it’s popular.

There'll be some bias from the type of people likely to use a clashfinder in the first place, but I'm surprised at The Cure outpacing both The Killers and Kylie.

The Cure don’t have a huge amount clashing with them and given how long their set is compared to the other Sunday night headliners, I’d imagine most people have clicked them

Would bank on Clashfinder users skewing 70% white and male, maybe even higher.

Which might just explain how The Vaccines are trouncing Stormzy.

Not too sure on that. I mean Lizzo is ahead of Stormzy and Lauren Hill is right up in the mix, might well have age related interests to it. That said the amount of people who use clashfinder compared to just go to the festival won't even come close to being a reliable source of whose gonna get the best crowds.

I'm sure...but you'd also expect The Killers to do well in the dad's demographic.

Really? Christine and the Queens and maybe The Streets are the only clashes for me on Sunday night (but like I say, I’ve highlighted them all on Clashfinder as I’ll try and catch at least 2 of the 3, The Cure being a definite 1)

Sunday night is stacked. Gonna be about 7 people watching Rex Orange County.

He’s huge amongst the kids, right? Sold out a big venue in Manchester in a matter of minutes.

As it goes, i’d love to see him, ‘sunflower’ is such a great song, but reckon I’ll go to Janelle Monae.

Not convinced on Circa Waves being that high up like. Must depend whi they're up against.

They're on at 11.50am Sunday. Is also why Vaccines are so high up I guess, 11am Friday there isn't much competition for a well known band!
