Real possibility of Foals this year now they will release part 2 of the new CD in October. Also new music from Sam Smith will get him a slot in the Barn. Long shot- Sam Fender.

You can forget about Sam Smith in The Barn, if he comes - and I think there is a very big chance (it will either be RW or PKP) - it will be as co-headliner. He sold out Belgian's biggest venue (20k) quite fast and already headlined some festivals like Lollapalooza.

Sam Fender gets a lot of airplay in Belgium, so he's definitely a possibility.

Cuffe and Taylor, gig promoters, were reacting to this year's programme at Scarborough and have left us this gem.

"Peter says it's been an innovative season at the theatre, with Biffy Clyro performing a gig that was in effect a warm up for their European tour."

This thursday Editors will announce their new album. The sportpaleis show will be announced thursday or next week normally.

Until now, no indication they will play werchter. RW is looking for better options. That can change off course.

Maybe Pukkelpop for them?

The cards are looking good for some acts who are very high on their wishlist for years, and have never made it... until now? It’s still very early, a lot can go wrong, but the vibe is good ;-).

Is this it, finally? I hope so.

The Strokes then?

A reunion of Supergrass is coming up, and they'll probably play Glastonbury. Will we see them at Werchter as well?

I don't think so. A lot will depend on how their AB show will sell. But i think they are more suitable for Lokerse Feesten, Rock Zottegem... They were never that popular in Belgium.

When does RW usually post their first line up announcements? And does this come before or after the ticket sales open? thanks

They started announcing a few acts (p!nk/the cure/mumfords and sons) in October for RW19 but the lineup wasn't fully complete until March. They tend to stagger the announcements throughout the year.

Some bands I'd really like to see at Werchter, but I didn't hear of any plans for touring Europe next summer for most of them. So either you have a lot of inside info, or this is even less than just rumours.

Struggling to believe this. Spiritualized and Primal Scream already did summer festivals this year; can't see why they'd do it again tbh. Although it is the former's 30th anniversary next year, so perhaps they'll be doing shows for that? Who knows...

Well, they can sit at home drinking or earn money playing gigs ;)

This time of the year a lot of bands are announcing their availability for next summer. But that doesn’t necessary mean that they will tour.
