Also new music from Sam Smith will get him a slot in the Barn. Long shot- Sam Fender. You can forget about Sam Smith in The Barn, if he comes - and I think there is a very big chance (it will either be RW or PKP) - it will be as co-headliner. He sold out Belgian's biggest venue (20k) quite fast and already headlined some festivals like Lollapalooza. Sam Fender gets a lot of airplay in Belgium, so he's definitely a possibility. Though I doubt he'd do a festival run, the last time he was at Werchter was 2014 and he wasn't even near as huge as he is rn.
Scarnic
Cuffe and Taylor, gig promoters, were reacting to this year's programme at Scarborough and have left us this gem. "Peter says it's been an innovative season at the theatre, with Biffy Clyro performing a gig that was in effect a warm up for their European tour." Ken19
This thursday Editors will announce their new album. The sportpaleis show will be announced thursday or next week normally. Until now, no indication they will play werchter. RW is looking for better options. That can change off course. 1

Ken19
The cards are looking good for some acts who are very high on their wishlist for years, and have never made it... until now? It’s still very early, a lot can go wrong, but the vibe is good ;-). Is this it, finally? I hope so. 3

Nomen
A reunion of Supergrass is coming up, and they'll probably play Glastonbury. Will we see them at Werchter as well?

They were never that popular in Belgium.

They tend to stagger the announcements throughout the year.

So either you have a lot of inside info, or this is even less than just rumours.

Spiritualized and Primal Scream already did summer festivals this year; can't see why they'd do it again tbh. Although it is the former's 30th anniversary next year, so perhaps they'll be doing shows for that? Who knows...

Karlos12345
Foo Fighters again? I assume Tool and The Black Keys are around in spring? Or off the table for 2020? EDIT: Those „maybes“ are all great. And Faith No More is a nice little info. Edited September 9, 2019 by Karlos12345

This time of the year a lot of bands are announcing their availability for next summer. But that doesn’t necessary mean that they will tour.
