Where to camp?

So me and my mates are heading to our first Glasto this year, and we’re not too sure where to camp up! 

We like to look of Oxylers as it looks quite near all the stages we’ll be spending most time at. 

Wanna go somewhere lively and central(ish) but not somewhere anyone will shit on our tent or set it on fire in the night 

 

any recommendations???

Oxylers sounds good, generally people at glasto don't set each others tents on fire! Have a good fest!

I have a recommendation to not worry too much about where you're camping.  It won't have half as much influence on your festival as you think it will.
Just get yourself vaguely in the half of the festival where you think you'll spend most time, and don't sweat it, is my advice.

Where best to camp depends on the when you arrive and the weather forecast. Oxylers is popular, fills up quick and being very flat, prone to lots of liquid mud.

Pennards is pretty fun and good location for park and south east corner - gets filled quite quickly though! Kidney Mead is also good for being in the thick of it, but on the other side of the valley!

Oxylers always looked messy, a giant thoroughfare if you will. Could be wrong though... Pennards is relatively centrally located. If you don't have a humongous tent and it looks full at the perimeter - walk inside. People are lazy and often there's a lot of space inside the field while it looks absolutely rammed from the outside.
