Well, except perhaps the city players, who have held city back so far. Another few billion should probably do it.

How have the City players held the club back this season? 2nd in the league and scoring hundred goals, league cup winners, FA cup semi finalists and still in the Champions League. Thats a pretty successful season from where I am looking.

Got to the FA Cup final too.

There is more to football than winning trophies.

City's real target is winning the Chumps. Or the great middle eastern despots face-off, as it's soon to be called.
jyoung
Ake to City for 40m. Looks like they are getting their business done early with Ferran Torres too.
Dan R
Curious how Ake will do. He's obviously got quality and think he'll actually suit City better than Bournemouth, but every time I've watched him play against Liverpool he just doesn't seem to have progressed and always seems a bit lightweight. The consensus is that Stones and Otamendi are on their way, with Ake and hopefully Koulibaly coming in. Not sure Ake will be first choice really, although he can cover left back. jyoung
@eastynh I saw something about City not doing business with Napoli because they were frustrated with how Napoli handled the Jorginho situation?
pink_triangle
Ake is a player I have never noted as being particularly good or bad, maybe that's what you want from a squad player. He has made such little impact on me that I thought he was English untill recently!
Hugh Jass
Ake has already passed over the admittedly low bar entitled “is he better than John Stones?”
DareToDibble
Sky Sports reporting the Saudi consortium have pulled out of buying Newcastle! Finally thought it was going to happen this time too.

Says it all that a despotic regieme known for its human rights abuses can’t do a deal with the Saudis.
WS_Jack_III
Shambles from the Prem, got what they wanted which was to not have to make the decision. Mike Ashley and Steve F*cking Bruce for another year. Sick of it.
Gromite
I feel for Newcastle fans, but it's ultimately for the best. That's not who you want owning your club.
pink_triangle
I think the league is better not having these people involved. I hope I would stop supporting my club in a bizarre world they decided they wanted a national league club!
WS_Jack_III
aye we'll just continue on as a zombie club, that's for the best. Edited July 30, 2020 by WS_Jack_III
WS_Jack_III
All coming out now, PL teams including Liverpool and Spurs didn't want Newcastle deal to go through. The League is corrupt lads, that's that. Nobody else is allowed to come and play with the big boys.
pink_triangle
I have no doubt the big boys don't want competition. However I think the league is better without these people than worse.

WS_Jack_III
You can all say it's better off without them but the league is officially a corrupt league now in my opinion.
