First year for awhile there hasn’t been something on, usually after the Jools Hootenanny. Normally a review of that years festival. A few snippets were on A year in  music on the bbc that was broadcast a few nignts ago.

Yeah they usually repeat the year’s highlights show, surprised and disappointed it wasn’t on.

Yeah, I looked for it too, can’t understand why it’s gone off the new year schedule. It’s Hootenanny they should bin, I’ve gone from watching it all live, to skipping through for highlights the following day, to avoiding it at all costs.

I don't think I'd ever really watched Jools and his Hootenanny before until it ended up being on screen at a house party I was at last night. Don't think I'd missed much with a previous policy of not viewing it.

They've definitely cut the budget over the years

shame as I was in and by that point just on my own in the lounge with the dog and a few tins for company!

Was really hoping they would repeat Kendrick’s set on BBC4 at some point.

Desperate to see it again.
