Report

Back in Sept 2023 or maybe before, we had word on here that Coldplay were to headline the 2024 festival .... so I tentatively started some Pyramid stage hat preparation and getting some ideas together . with the help of @squirrelarmy and his 3D printer . The ideas started to flow quite well and by June id created what I felt was the best hat  yet . Sadly the day before the festival was due to start my health deteriorated and I was taken to hospital with what I thought at the time was a stroke ( my face had dropped and I was unable to close my eye ) on my mind was also wether id make the festival at all .... or if id have to cut my time down . Fortunately it turned out to be bells pawsey which meant that id be able to attend the festival but id have to take things easy ( if I could ) Anyway plans fortunately didnt change and I was able to make it to the festival . watched dua lipa and she was one of my favourite performances id seen at the festival ... I took a photo at the beginning of the next day without a clue what was to happen later  .    I managed to squeeze  inside the pit during the interval changeover  prior to Coldplay but during the set my hat was knocked off accidentally by someone getting onto shoulders ... no bother I should have made it a bit stronger and the lights failed . bit of a rollercoaster those few days but I couldnt help feel a little disappointed . Then during the Jumbatron song Chris Martin decided to dedicate some of it to the audience and the directed the BBC cameras to pick them out .... So here came my moment ... the bbc cameras picked me out  and as they did I felt the crowd around me getting much closer to get in shot he then sang. the words I wont forget for a long time to me . "I want to thank you my brother , you could have been at someones concert instead  , but you showed up here , this time of year , with the Pyramid Stage on your head "    A moment I'll not forget for a very long time and pretty much the culmination of my  Glastonbury festivals and what ive been doing for the previous festivals , making people smile . Much love to all for the social media messages that followed from on here and elsewhere . Despite the ups and downs I think that will be my Moment and one I cant ever top .... this year I'll do my best but think it might be a quiet one .... She's an odd one. Always listen and think "bloody hell, this is ace" but then don't tend to revisit for whatever reason...

It's those pesky working classes. Should never have given them the vote.
