Congrats.
I saw them 2 nights in a row in December 1975 at the Glasgow Apollo, when Bohemian Rhapsody was first at #1. Definitely one of the best bands I'd seen at that time.
I've had zero interest in seeing them for many years. I love Paul Rodgers (with Free), but for most bands I loved I'm not that enthusiastic to see them again without a crucial band member (There are exceptions I admit).
On a similar theme, this week's press release on the upcoming Lynyrd Skynyrd tour made me laugh, it mentions all the band members from the original line up (all dead) before listing the current band (all 9 of them).
Ah possibly, I just had a look on their website and there was no Belgian date so put 2 and 2 together, which usually results in me getting 367 with festivals these days haha.
I need an announcement of sorts soon haha. After a year off with doing some other things in life, I've got my UK festivals sorted for next year (Tramlines/Kendal), my rock fest (RfP) so I want a 'big' festival in the diary for my big year. It's between Werchter, Pinkpop and potentially Hurricane at this point; Pinkpop played their hand now, just need an announcement from the other two within the next week or so so I can get locked in before the travel costs and such like price me out
On the whole you're right, but I don't think Dizzee Rascal has been booked since his DV conviction.
Slowthai was also quietly dropped from the lineup one year.
