Bentzi
Hey all, Has anyone ever bought a ticket to Reading from Stubhub or one of the other Ticket exchangers? Have there been any issues? The festival website states that tickets are non-transferable but I'm trying to understand if they legitimately check or if they just write that to cover their own behinds. Stubhub gave me a gift card because of a similar issue where I bought the ticket from them and was then denied entry because the name on the card and my ID didn't match. I would like to redeem the credit but am concerned that the same thing will happen here. Would really appreciate any insight. Thanks guys! gfa
They don't bother with this, only a few festivals like glastonbury and boomtown (i think?) do this and then some artists own shows if they are particularly trying to be on top of touting. Even if it says that they will refuse entry 9/10 times they aren't checking, if not more than 9/10.
MattM1993
I've been to Leeds festival 10 times now and never once been asked for my ID when handing in my ticket. I think you'll be fine, if not just wait a while and go in through another gate. Once you've got your wristband your in the clear.
