WM Hall

Recommended Posts

Low [just, always]

Sons of Raphael [on admittedly thin data, sounds fantastic]

Mitski [she is wow]

Murder Capital [cos BitF says so, prepared to miss Bradford Cox to do this]

Martha [yay]

BCNR [pretty awesome last weekend, will be a bit of a party in the tipi]

The Beths [Woods is a big old stage for them, but on a sunny Friday afternoon cider in hand they'll be perfect - also good at GM]

Beak> [seem to have avoided them so many times, my big error needs correcting]

Squid [of the moment]

Stella D [is seeing her last weekend, tomorrow night and at EOTR too much? going to find out]

The Murder Capital album out today. It’s immense. Surely we need them in the big top?

The Murder Capital vs Deerhunter is now my most nightmarish clash of the weekend. Having gone from not knowing anything about them... The album really is something else.

Saw Murder Capital recently. They were good, but a bit patchy I thought - some of the slower, atmospheric songs on the record didn't really do it for me live. They definitely still seemed like a work in progress, albeit one with loads of potential.

Having never seen Deerhunter, they are probably going to win that clash. (And I also get to see Murder Capital again in Oxford in October!).

I've worked it down to 19 but it will be to much heartache to cut further so I think I'm going to decline playing this game...

My thoughts too, so I'm going to cheat and have a Top 10 I've seen before and a Top 10 I haven't:

Have seen:

Low

The Murder Capital

Beak>

Squid

Martha

Israel Nash

Viagra Boys

Black Country, New Road

Kikagaku Moyo

Stella Donnelly

Haven't seen:

Wire

Sons of Raphael

Pottery

Peach Pyramid

BCUC

Penya

Tyler Childers

Sweaty Palms

John Johanna

BC Camplight

No doubt, once we get the official timings, its not going to be logistally possible; so maybe I'll edit down post-Friday news.
