Hi

Can ayone remember the name of the chocolate bar that was in the shape of 3 vertical circles

cheers

I have absolutely no idea, and I thought that I knew more than I should about chocolate bars. Can you give any more information eg how big were the circles, who made the bars, are you talking about UK confectionery, milk or dark chocolate etc?

Hershey bars?

I'm afraid that i only fleetingly looked at the content of my own post. A big screen kind of comes up when I am presented with mathematical thingies. Anyway, I was able to realise that they were promoting some kind of mathematical paradox (if that's the right word?). Anyway, I knew that it was lost on me, but thought I'd post it on the off chance that somebody out there would appreciate me having done so. I guess, and understand, that this may take some time to come to any fruition, as accepted by a majority.

Oh, by the way - My understanding is that Hershey bars are made in the USA, and are much different to, say something like Cadbury's that we have here in the UK. There my knowledge, or assumption of, ends.

Really?

That's a suspiciously low level of chocolate knowledge, coming from my greedy perspective.

I do like chocolate, but prefer the higher coco count ones. That said, I have taken a tour around the Cadbury World many moons ago now. I really can't how I managed to get myself involved in visiting that place, as those kind of things really aren't my thing. Mind you, I only lived up the road a few miles from it, so that may have had some bearing. I can only think that intense boredom was the other motivating factor.

I have also darkened the doorstep of this place;

https://skelligschocolate.com/shop/chocolate-truffles/

I walked in, saw the chocolates being made by hand, and then looked at the prices. I managed to not cry when i paid for a reasonable amount of differing chocolates, for a chocoholic mate back in the UK.

I went to this place in SF a few years back. They were bloody expensive, but  the nicest chocolate I had ever tasted and the geezer who owns the shop gets up every day at 5 to start making them, so I was impressed with the commitment to his art

I'm not surprised that you took the financial hit, in order to taste some of those chocolates. They look mighty fine, indeed. Interesting story behind their business too.

Aye, that principle of having a little of what you fancy is a very good one.  If only I had that self restraint for treats, booze, other *ahem* pleasurable consumables.

Almost totally chocolate unrelated - I once saw a Scoop as much or as little as you like shop go bust. It was one of those shops with very cheap confectionary, which you scooped from differing buckets, in to a plastic bag. This was then weighed, and you were charged accordingly. Anyway, this shop had a sign in the window saying 'Scoop as much or as little as you Like' in a banner stuck to the bottom half of the large pane of glass frontage.

Then the shop went bust and closed down. The next people to rent it were people who were going to be selling (or, so they thought) colonic irrigation packages. They then put up their advertising slogan at the top of the pane of glass on the frontage. So it ended up reading ' Colonic Irrigation. Scoop as much or as little as you Like'.

I so wanted to photo that shop front, before they realised and got rid of the old slogan.
